The idea was started by Brandon Brooks as a novelty drink for those people who just love that pickly taste in a bottled form. But soon, this small Texas company started receiving orders from pro football coaches, trainers, and sports doctors who used the pickle juice for hydration and to prevent and stop muscle cramping on the field. When runners, cyclists, tri athletes and tennis players started to order the product to help with their cramping, Brooks went back to the drawing board and re branded the novelty drink into a functional sports drink now known as Pickle Juice Sport.
