One of them, I think the daughter of the founder, is a lawyer. If anyone "violates" their rights, perhaps by throwing a punch, they press charges. That's how they make the money to keep traveling.theCryptofishist wrote:fwiw, they are well known on the board. And they are tricky, using law as much or more than protests to further their agenda.
And yes, vile to use children like that.
Sorry, I don't have cites for that, but I bet I could dig them up.
Hey, look, thread drift.

Badger attests to that too, so I'm comfortable accepting that provisionally until more data comes along.AntiM wrote:One of them, I think the daughter of the founder, is a lawyer. According to the New York Times, 11 of his 13 kids are lawyers, including 3 daughters who are arguing the current 1st amendment issue before the Supreme CourtAntiM wrote:One of them, I think the daughter of the founder, is a lawyer. Lovely people. It's nice to see them so interested in defending Leviticus and trying to stop the gays, but I think they missed a chapter, 19:18 "Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD"

I agreee with you gyre. I wouldn't mind riding my bike around to look at things or meet people myself.gyre wrote:No reason not to do both if you want.Artemis wrote:Yes, and it's one of the reasons I'm hesitant to hook up with anyone out there and potentially lose my ability to wander around on my own.maryanimal wrote:And he discussed that he'll want to go off by himself at times. BTW folks! I went to the Seattle regionals SeaCompresson and it was out of this world awesome!
I can't wait until Burning Man now!

And don't worry a heart can mend in the time it takes for you to get your dust on. the Playa waits.maryanimal wrote:I agreee with you gyre. Knowmad, I've never been to such an awesome event. I went alone and was too shy to introduce myself to people. But the event itself, the people, costumes, performers and the DJ's/dance area was over the top!! I loved every minute of it!

Damn Dr.P, sorry to hear that! I dated a man I met on MyYearbook. He was a nice man, funny, intelligent, easy on the eyes, and a few years younger than me. 10 minutes after meeting he said he was impotent. I must have had a "holy crap" look on my face and he asked me if anything was wrong. I asked him why he had on his profile that sex was a 10 out of 10. He told me that he wanted to meet someone who really didn't want a lot of sex. I then asked, "why don't you just put down a lower number than 10?" He told me that most of the women who'd answer that were not his type. So after about 2 or so hours of getting to know each other and having a bite to eat, we parted as friends.
So, then I met a guy from some local online dating thing....nice guy, but he was still in love with his almot ex-wife....ack.

Thanks catman. *pheeewww* my cat is farting as I type this* I was having a pity party that day. I was thinking that maybe I need to be a bitch, more of the love-em-and-leave-em type. However it's hard for me to be the l-e-a-l-e type. I can be kinda bitchy at times though!Thecatman wrote:maryanimal wrote:Ask me how many times
