up around the way here we have a place called Verlot the local hicks like to Sneer at those that say it as if it rhymes with Merlot. It's Ver-low ! the insist. I usually tell them to Suck it, the place is named after the man that Founded that Logging camp A cousin of my great grand father. Froogin hicks pronounce Merlot like Mer-lot. gerrr.

My frame of reference is kinda strange with words. "So, Momma and Poppa Tomato were walking down the street with baby Tomato waddling along. Baby Tomato could not keep up, and Poppa Tomato turned around, and smashed Baby Tomato flat, squashed him with his foot. Poppa Tomato said to his pulp "Catchup!".

I checked Pulp Fiction out of the library and Mia (Uma Thurman) tells this joke just after she almost OD's. I had forgotten completely about it but it was a strange coincidence reading this post and checking out the DVD on the same day.
