When I was in High School I worked at a cousins dude-ranch in Wyoming, outside of Dubois. You could always tell the tourists because they said Doo-bwah when the locals pronounced it Do-boyz. For some reason I really liked that little one street town...

Just remember, the man who composed Il Travatore wasn't called vare-die. And it is a little disconcerting to hear people talk about al-a-may-duh county.

Yeah, but I think the tourists say it that way only when they are holding wine or martini glasses with their pinky finger held straight.Eric wrote:When I was in High School I worked at a cousins dude-ranch in Wyoming, outside of Dubois. I checked Pulp Fiction out of the library and Mia (Uma Thurman) tells this joke just after she almost OD's. I had forgotten completely about it but it was a strange coincidence reading this post and checking out the DVD on the same day.mgb327 wrote:My frame of reference is kinda strange with words. Baby Tomato could not keep up, and Poppa Tomato turned around, and smashed Baby Tomato flat, squashed him with his foot. Poppa Tomato said to his pulp "Catchup!".
The next morning you will wake up pretty much your old self except that a very unusual 16 hours will have been added to your store of life experience.
