Here are 2 articles about israel's actions concerning the flotilla. Both happen to be written by women.
http://www.jpost.com/Opinion/Columnists ... ?id=177082
http://www.kawther.info/wpr/2010/06/01/ ... he-rubicon
I post opposing viewpoints because it's impossible to judge truth while only listening to one side.
Also mentioned is the nuclear non-proliferation treaty,, NPT. The israelis lose a fair amount of credence by claiming that the NPT has resulted in MORE proliferation. A more likely scenario is that states waste huge amounts of precious resources acquiring nukes because they feel threatened.
India got nukes because they don't trust China and Russia. Pakistan got nukes because they don't trust India. The one and only nuke threat in the Middle-East is israel. So, it would follow that states in the Middle-East acquired nukes because they feel threatened by israel. There were other provocateurs in the area but, they were all conventional threats.
Turkey is not going to let this go. I imagine that there are fierce negotiations [threats] going on out of sight. Turkey is a member of NATO. They can claim, under article 4 that they were attacked by a non-NATO state and call on assistance from other NATO members. If / when they send the next flotilla,,, escorted by navy vessels, the israelis have to let them in or fire on them. Turkey is stronger than israel militarily.
http://www.globalfirepower.com/
This could easily result in BOTH Turkey and israel calling on America for relief and re-enforcements. This would result in the end of NATO. It appears that the U.S. knew beforehand about the plans to intercept the flotilla. Rahm was in israel the week before;
http://www.rense.com/general91/flotv.htm
This seems pretty stupid on the part of both israel and America. There is no winning on this one.
Turkey has about 100 NATO nukes in their territory. I imagine that they could re-configure them. I also suspect that Turkey could call on the subs from Pakistan.
I just don't see either country backing down.
The East is growing so much stronger. They can align without much fear from the U.S. Turkey wouldn't have taken this action without wide Eastern consultation or adequate preparedness. They knew / know the expected reaction from the West.
We are not close to war. We are close to initiating a series of action / reactions that are likely to bring us to war. The East is getting their ducks lined up in a row so that they'll be prepared when the West implodes financially. They can easily outbid us from accessing increasingly scarce oil when western currencies crash. Both the israeli and American military have a fairly short supply of oil. 3 months, I believe. If GOV monopolizes the oil for the military at the expense of the productive economy, the country will crash irretrievably. If they don't, israel will have no protection.

Here's an article about a MOSSAD agent who agrees with me.
"Ex-Mossad agent: Gaza flotilla raid ’so stupid it’s stupefying’"
http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/0601/exmoss ... tupefying/
As I mentioned, Turkey expects more support from their fellow NATO member, the U.S.
http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2010/06/01/t ... li-attack/
Turkey knew exactly what it was getting into. They are not going to back down;
http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/n.php? ... 2010-06-01
The links on the right side of the page are good reading.
There is always the possibility that the raid was NOT stupid to israel. They may very well want WW III. Makow believes that the zionists want the war regardless of what the general jewish population may want.
When I see a situation, I tend to project it to the future and compress it into a chain of events. Like a chess player, I tend to see a logical chain of possible / probable events. Accuracy is always a question but, history is a good guide.
Turkey / America is going to break NATO. The East is on the ascendancy and they know it. More importantly, Turkey is a big producer of food. Saudi can drift out of the influence of the West if they can feed their people.
The East has the missile power to blockade oil from leaving the Middle-East. A tanker is a great target.
Apparently, Rahm gave the go-ahead for the attack on the flotilla. His father was a terrorist / patriot who blew up the British command in Jerusalem. Rahm shows the same predilection for head-on violence. Neither a chess master nor Sun Tzu would approve of his methods.
A crude, violent approach begets a crude, violent response. The israelt controlled banking powers in London can pull the rug out from under the West if they don't like the way that the West / America defend israel. They cannot, however win a war. The East can win a war because they are very stoic about possible population losses. The East has a lock on the oil that we need. Also, they can cause a huge financial crash for us that would preclude us from even buying oil.
Evidently, Rahm never played chess.

This is an interesting article talking about a proposed and planned joint pipeline venture between israel and Turkey.
http://www.paltelegraph.com/columnists/ ... -stand-off
The article talks about competition between Eastern proposed pipelines and Western proposed pipelines. Since the East controls so much of the oil, the West wanted to at least control the pipelines. That's what the attack by Georgia was all about.
This latest problem will probably preclude the Eastern pipeline. Afghanistan is also an important route for a pipeline. It doesn't look too likely either.

The israelis must have taken a stupid pill. Any time that an entity just blatantly reacts, someone, somewhere is yanking their chain. Erdogan didn't just get up one day and decide to break the blockade around Palestine. Nobody is going to die if building materials don't arrive. He picked the time and place of the encounter. I'm quite sure that he did it in consultation with most other Muslim leaders.
israel can do plenty of damage but, they can't actually protect tankers in the 2 straits. Iran has a Silkworm factory. They just bought 300 advanced SAMs too. israel can thrash it's neighbors but, it can't force them to cooperate. American and British leaders have left their balls in safe-deposit boxes in Tel Aviv, London, and New York.
Eastern leaders see America collapsing. There is going to be a power vacuum. The East is determined to fill it.
The Pentagon has admitted that Russian missiles like the "sunburn" can take out our entire navy. The U.S. pays $ 600 million a day in interest. That doesn't count principle on bonds that are not rolled over. It isn't going to go on for much longer. The East is going to make the best of it. They'll continue to yank israel's chain

And Israel is saying, "They were provoking us to react, so we had to react!" How stupid is that? A major tool in unequal conflict is for the little guy to make the big guy overreact. Then the big guy looks like a bully, the world agrees with the little guy,and the big guy loses. Haven't people figured that out by now? When I was a kid my 5 yrs younger sister would irritate and annoy me until I lashed out verbally. Then she'd cry, and I'd be in trouble. I figured the trick out pretty quickly and stopped lashing out. How come Israel (and the US, for that matter) can't figure out what was obvious to me at age 12?
This analysis works regardless of your view of the big picture. I firmly believe that, yes, the flotilla's goal was to permanently break the blockade. Yes, Israel really didn't want them to break the blockade. Whether the blockade is evil or benign, Israel defended it in exactly the way most likely to cause its end.

Israel sign an agreement to partition Jerusalem. when will they make good on their promise? It it true? everything they we have been told are lies? everything? Their god. Their savor. Their Angels. Their history. Their myths. It was all a myth- Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
Everything they told us was a lie
Everything they told us was a lie

Palestine- An Israeli dumping ground for radioactive/toxic waste
Tuesday, 08 June 2010 13:20 Added by PT Editor maysaa jarour
http://www.paltelegraph.com/columnists/ ... oxic-waste
UK, June 8, 2010 (Pal Telegraph, by Peter Eyre) - We have seen the decades of suffering by the Palestinian people at the hands of the apartheid government of Israel and yet little has been said about another unseen problem that lies buried beneath the ground.
Over a long period of time the Israeli Government has secretly been dumping highly radioactive waste from their Dimona Nuclear Facility on Palestinian land. What is ironic is the basis as to why they have dumped their waste at such locations.
Many years ago I started up an environmental action group to safeguard the region I was living in at the time. This would cover all aspects of potential pollution from Gas Turbine Power Stations – Agricultural Pesticides – Air and Water Quality etc.
Part of my responsibility was to cover the technical aspects of environmental care, especially in the area of airborne pollution and the quality of our drinking water.
I spent a lot of my time carrying out studies of Sub Terrain Hydrology, especially the knowledge acquired by Russian Hydrologists, who are rated as some of the best in the world. I obtained large water table maps showing the underground contours and realized that many toxic waste dumps were not only very badly planned but were allowing the toxic plumes to flow towards areas of dense populations.
The study entailed monitoring the progress of the toxic plume from a conventional rubbish dump and also more importantly the progress of highly toxic plumes from industrial/chemical waste dumping grounds.
With all of the above in mind I thought I would look at the situation in Gaza and West Bank to see if the Israeli Government had intentionally dumped there waste in Palestine’s back yard instead of their own. My findings not only shocked me but also allowed me to look into the mindset of some of these evil Israeli planners.
One can see that from their perspective it is better to contaminate Palestinian land and its people than their own Israeli population. However, sometimes they have to make a decision to do the Rubbish_Gazasame on theirown land. It is always the case that when they are faced with this prospect the contamination will always take place in areas where poorer people live i.e. you will never find a radioactive or toxic waste dump in the more influential districts of any city.
So what is the problem and where have these dumps been created…..the findings will truly shock you. First of all we have to understand that in the environmental sense the government’s policy of dilute and disperse is terribly flawed and is no longer acceptable as far as environmental care and public health is concerned. No level of radiation is safe and no level of toxicity is safe, so why would anyone intentionally place such dumps close to areas of population. One needs to approach the Israeli Government for the answer to this question.
Over a period of time highly radioactive waste from the Dimona Nuclear Facility has been dumped primarily at two locations. One being close to Hebron and the other in central Gaza. When one adds to this the dumping of human waste, domestic waste, industrial waste and hazardous waste we are looking at a very lethal cocktail of underground contamination. One can also add to this hospital waste which can be extremely dangerous to humans
It is a known fact that as far as the Israeli and Palestinian populations are concerned they are totally dependent on the water aquifers that exist below the surface. Obviously with the coastal weather patterns in the East Mediterranean it is the high ground that produces the main rainfall. Moist warm air comes in from the sea and as it hits the high country it rises and causes rain. This makes such water catchment areas the lifeline for both the Israelis and the Palestinians.
One does not have to be into rocket science to understand that if you dump in or around this valuable source of water then you will pick up this toxic plume in your water supply. Likewise most dwellers would rely on submersible water pumps or wells for obtaining water or for pumping onto their agricultural crops. It is then that one starts to uptake the toxic plume that fans out from such dumping grounds.
What is rather sad is the fact that despite the sometimes acute water shortages the upper crust of Israeli society still use up vast amounts of water to quench the thirst of their lawns or to top up their swimming pools etc. This has a severe detrimental effect on the poorer dwellers as it tends to lower the water table making drinking water sometime impossible to acquire and can permanently dry up vast tracts of land.
Again I put an emphasis on the fact that if you pump from an underground source you will be uplifting highly radioactive or toxic waste. Historically the problems were well publicized (1998) and obviously with the increased population of Jewish settlers on Palestinian land the situation must now be extremely critical. Some of the main locations given at the time were as follows:
Approximately 4.3 million cubic meters of wastewater are generated per year from Jewish settlements in the West Bank. A large amount is dumped, untreated, on Palestinian land, creating a health hazard for many communities.
According to a study conducted by the Environment Office of the Israeli Civil Administration in the West Bank, it is estimated that the daily amount of domestic waste generated per Jewish settler is 1.3 kg. Thus, the total quantity of solid waste generated by settlers is about 145,000 tons of domestic waste. Again, Palestinians have no access to information about the disposal of solid waste generated by settlers. Evidence shows that much of the waste is being disposed of on Palestinian land and dumping sites. The solid waste generated in West Jerusalem, for example, is transferred to the Abu Dis dumping site. Table 1 shows the Jewish settlements and military bases that dump their waste on Palestinian lands. It is clear that Israel always intends to dump it waste on Palestinian land and not on its own.
The report also revealed the following: There are at least seven Israeli industrial zones in the West Bank. These occupy a total area of approximately 302 hectares, located mainly on hilltops, which often results in the flow of industrial wastewater into adjacent Palestinian lands. In addition, the Israeli authorities have moved many of the polluting industries from various places in Israel to areas near the Green Line or inside the settlements.
For example, a pesticide factory in Kfar Saba which produces dangerous pollutants has been moved to an area near Tulkarem. The wastewater from this factory has damaged the citrus trees and polluted the soil in the area, and poses a serious hazard to the groundwater.3 The Dixon Gas industrial factory, which was located in Netanya, inside Israel, has also been moved to the Tulkarem area. The solid waste generated by the factory is burned in open air.
Israeli industrial factories also existed in Jewish settlements in the West Bank. It is estimated that at least 200 such factories are located there. Some of the products are identifiable, but detailed information on quantities produced, labor, and waste generated is not available. Aluminum, leather- tanning, textile-dyeing, batteries, fiberglass, plastics and other chemicals are among the major industries within these Jewish settlements. The waste generated by them contains toxic elements, such as aluminum, chromium, lead, zinc and nickel. For example, the aluminum industry which is found in many Israeli settlements produces aluminum and acidic waste. Electroplating produces nickel, chrome and acidic waste. The battery industry produces lead in its wastewater. All of these inorganic substances are considered hazardous to health if accumulated in the human body.
Industrial_dumps_copyPalestinian lands located at the foothills of industrial zones are particularly vulnerable to the flow of industrial waste and evidence shows that pollution-prevention measures are not followed inside the Israeli factories. Also, the generated industrial solid waste is often collected and dumped in areas near Palestinian villages. An example is the Barkan industrial zone located in the Nablus district over a 150-dunum area. It includes approximately 80 factories of various industries, such as aluminum, fiberglass, plastic, electroplating and military: these produce an estimated 810,000 cubic meters of industrial wastewater annually. The waste was previously collected in three storage tanks, but due to design failure, these tanks are overloaded with mud and not operational. Therefore, the industrial wastewater flows untreated to the nearby wadi, damaging agricultural land which belongs to three Palestinian villages - Sarta, Kufr A-Deek and Burqin in the Nablus district - and polluting the groundwater with heavy metals.
A Similar pattern emerged in the Gaza Strip when the Israelis removed vast tracts of arable soil from Gaza and relocated it on the adjacent Israeli land. The huge indentation on the Gazan landscape was replaced with 50,000 tons of Israeli Industrial Chemical Waste. The total dumping amounts to around 150,000 cubic meters of waste.
We have all read about the long standing struggle by the Palestinians against the cancerous growth of Israeli settlements on their land. We have heard of the continuous suffering and harassment by the Israelis and the daily breaches of human rights inflicted on the Palestinian people but no one was prepared for what was to follow with the attack on Gaza in 1998/9 (Cast Lead).
It is amazing how strong the people of Palestine are when faced with such in despicable suffering at the hands of the Apartheid Israel Government and yet really the Palestinians don’t even know the hidden killer that has now become part of their daily lives.
They have been repeatedly bombed with almost every type of experimental weapon, compliments of the US Government and Israelis own weapons manufacturing facility. What must be the greatest horror of all is how the US and the IDF intentionally blasted the Gaza strip with Weapons of Mass DU_Explosian_GazaDestruction that can only be described as “Mini Nukes.â€

Netanyahu says ready to testify in flotilla inquiry
(Reuters) - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday he was willing to testify in an inquiry Israel intends to hold into its deadly raid on a convoy of aid ships bound for the Israeli-blockaded Gaza Strip.
http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE65838V20100609
A formal Israeli announcement of an investigation of the May 31 bloodshed awaits the conclusion of consultations with Israel's main ally, the United States, on a format for the probe, Israeli officials said.
"We will be prepared to appear and give all the facts," Netanyahu said in a speech, mentioning himself, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Lieutenant-General Gabi Ashkenazi, the military's chief of staff.
Israeli commandos killed nine Turks, including one who also held U.S. nationality, after boarding the Turkish-flagged Mavi Marmara and being swarmed by pro-Palestinian activists with clubs and knives.
The bloodshed triggered an international outcry and strained relations between Israel and its once-close Muslim ally, Turkey. Israel called the troops' actions "self-Defense." Turkey described the killings as "state-sponsored terrorism."
Amid world pressure to ease its Gaza blockade and agree to a U.S.-backed U.N. call for a "prompt, impartial, credible and transparent investigation," Israel has expressed willingness to involve foreign observers in its own inquiry.
QUESTIONS
"The examination must include answers to questions that some in the international community prefer to ignore: Who was behind the extremist group on the ship's deck? Who sponsored its members?" Netanyahu said.
All of the nine dead on the Mavi Marmara were members or volunteers for the Foundation for Human Rights and Freecoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH).
The IHH says it is an Islamic charity group funded entirely by donations. Israel says the IHH supports Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, and other militant Islamist groups. But it does not classify the IHH as a terrorist organization.
"The world needs to know the whole picture," Netanyahu said. "And we will make sure the whole picture comes to light."
He said Israel's investigation would also focus on how "axes, clubs, knives and other light weapons" were brought on board the ship and on the "very large sums of money" he contended were found "in the pockets of those people on deck."
The Israeli military has announced its own investigation, focusing on the operational aspects of a raid seen by many in Israel as a fiasco in which planners failed to gauge the strength of resistance on board.
Netanyahu, echoing remarks made by a spokesman on Tuesday, said officers and soldiers would not testify at the government-ordered inquiry, which would rely on the statements they made to the military panel.
Israel says its Gaza blockade is necessary to limit weapons smuggling to Hamas.
The U.N. says the Israeli embargo, which includes a ban on cement crucial for reconstruction after the December 2008-January 2009 Gaza war, has caused a humanitarian crisis in the enclave. Israel rejects the allegation, citing its frequent shipments of fuel and medical aid into the area.

Rabbis visit injured, call Israel’s attack on flotilla piracy

http://www.todayszaman.com/tz-web/news- ... iracy.html
Three rabbis on Sunday visited Turks injured during last week’s attack on a humanitarian aid flotilla by Israeli commandos in international waters.
Wishing a speedy recovery for the injured activists currently convalescing in Ankara, rabbis Yisroel Dovid Weiss, Yitzhok Shewinter and Yoshet Rosenberg said the attack, targeting peace activists who were carrying humanitarian aid, was piracy.
Assistant Chief Physician HaÅŸim Erdem accompanied the group to the Atatürk Teaching and Research Hospital and translated for the patients and the rabbis. Speaking on behalf of the rabbis, Weiss, a US-based rabbi with Jews United Against Zionism, said they were grieved by the attack and were praying for the freedom of Palestine and the Gazan people. While noting that they made the visit on behalf of all Jews, Weiss said: “We came here to share what is in our hearts with you. We came to show that we are with you in the wake of the attack.â€

Red Cross: Gaza blockade illegal
http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middl ... 59588.html
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has described Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip as a violation of the Geneva Conventions and called on the Israeli government to lift it.
In a statement released on Monday, the organisation called the blockade "collective punishment", a crime under international law. It described Gaza as a territory plagued by frequent power cuts, a ruined economy, and a collapsed health care system.
"The closure imposed on the Gaza Strip is about to enter its fourth year, choking off any real possibility of economic development," the ICRC said.
"Gazans continue to suffer from unemployment, poverty and warfare, while the quality of Gaza's health care system has reached an all-time low."
Crippling shortages
Israeli officials insist that they provide enough "humanitarian aid" to cover Gaza's basic needs.
But the ICRC - a neutral organisation - said the meagre list of goods allowed into Gaza doesn't meet the needs of the territory's 1.5 million inhabitants.
The shortages are particularly dire in Gaza's health care system, where the ICRC said more than 100 essential medicines - including chemotherapy and hemophilia drugs - are unavailable. Many basic medical supplies, like colonoscopy bags, are also barred from Gaza and routine blackouts cause damage to medical equipment.
"The state of the health-care system in Gaza has never been worse," Eileen Daly, the ICRC's health co-ordinator in Gaza, said.
"Thousands of patients could go without treatment, and the long-term outlook will be increasingly worrisome."
B'Tselem, an Israeli human rights organisation, released its own report on Monday documenting dire conditions in the Palestinian territories. The group noted that
95 per cent of Gaza's factories have closed, that 98 per cent of residents suffer from blackouts, and that 93 per cent of Gaza's water is polluted.
Amr Moussa, the secretary-general of the Arab League, on Sunday called for an end to the blockade.
Hamas criticised
The ICRC also criticised Hamas, the Islamic movement which controls Gaza, for preventing the ICRC from visiting Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier captured in 2006. Shalit is entitled to visits from the Red Cross under international law.
"In violation of international humanitarian law, [Hamas] has also refused to allow him to get in touch with his family," the ICRC said.
But the bulk of the ICRC's criticism was directed at Israel's blockade. In addition to the health care problems, the ICRC noted that 40 per cent of Gaza's residents are not connected to a sewage system, and that restrictions on movement have driven many farmers and fishermen into poverty.
One-third of Gaza's farmland is located in a "buffer zone" controlled by the Israeli army, and boats are only allowed to fish within three nautical miles of Gaza's coast.
The ICRC demanded that both Israel and the Hamas government "allow and facilitate rapid and unimpeded passage" of aid shipments to Gaza. Hamas has refused to accept 10,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid seized from the flotilla of aid ships attacked last month by the Israeli army.
The Israeli government announced on Sunday that a panel, chaired by former supreme court judge Yaakov Turkel, would investigate the flotilla attack.

It may be time for you to get a new hobby. Have you tried stamp or coin collecting to occupy your time instead of cutting and pasting everything you read here?
Initially I wanted to hear some thoughts that you actually had on your own, but those thoughts appear to be nothing more than incoherent bithering that just don't make any sense.
If you could keep these substance fueled thoughts to one thread, it would make it easier to avoid this crap. But you seem to be starting new threads every time some new twisted thought enters your head.
It sounds like face to face interactions with other people didn't work out so well for you. I guess people could just walk away or avoid you altogether. Can you take that hint? It seems like your hate filled racist crap makes you feel somehow elevated and elite. You seem to be avoiding your own race and just attacking everyone elses here. Would you find it off base if a thread attacked the black race? My creativity could have a field day here, but I am not going to go there.
Smarten up you fool.

That all and all may just be, but what they are doing is still just as indefensible as what Islamist are doing or Right winged Zionist or Right winged Christian for that matter.
Hasn't your Mom or Schooling taught you anything like 2 wrongs dont make a right?
The problem with Israel is they have gotten so beyond themselves they cant tell the difference between right and wrong.
This is an extremely dangerous thing with them because THEY HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND TONS OF IT OVER THERE THEY ARE IN CHARGE OF.
They have already proven to be too irresponsible over the past 60 years.
It's why THE WHOLE WORLD IS CONCERNED.
Israel is so fucking up.

Hey guess what! You're all wrong.
Israel gets judged on a Western viewpoint on civilization. While Palestine and Iran are dismissed because they are in the Middle East. It's often forgotten that Israel is in the Middle East as well, and judged on that paradigm is leagues beyond any surrounding country.

israel is in the process of self-destruction. Nobody has control of the "settlers". Nobody has control of the radical rabbis. The IDF started out as an amalgamation of terror gangs,, stern, irgun, nehi, etc. The radical rabbis are calling for complete extermination. The leaders of the IDF are OK with that. Deuteronomy and the talmud call for it.
israeli jews [and european jews also] are starting to catch on to the idea that the ruling "elites" in israel are taking them down a road that ends in disaster. israel is controlled by mafia, russian khazars and zionists.
This is a VERY important and enlightening paper written many years ago.

It is immensely informative concerning the good and the bad that the jews have brought the world.
Roosevelt was very clear on his condemnation of the "international" jews and his praise of the accomplishments of the jews who had adopted whatever country they lived in as their homeland.
Racial superiority has long been a central tenet of jewish belief. jews come from all races and this belief is slowly losing ground. Many rabbis can see that jews need to make more effort to get along;

They aren't just talking about it either;

Any war with Turkey would cause israel's neighbors to invade en masse. Turkey has moved their missiles to protect Iran. An attack on Iran would precipitate a full-on invasion from Egypt, Lebanon, Syria. Even Jordan is pissed-off.
Israel can't actually invade Iran so it would have to be bombs. Just imagine what the Iranian Republican Guard would do while israel was busy bombing. They would be at the israeli border in 30 hours. Iran and Egypt would over run israel in just a few days. Israel would launch their nukes.
Y'all can focus on the short-term atrocities committed daily by israel. War with Turkey or Iran would be national suicide. Both are very heavily armed. They can fight a war with Iran and Turkey but they can't stop 2 million Iranians and Egyptians from converging on their borders.
The "international" jews would just go to another country. If israel were to be over run, the nukes would fly.
