A huge, fast moving wildfire is in Ventura county, So probably near Gaminwench and others in the region.
I hope they check in as safe soon?

I'm fine. I'm at home (which is not in the danger zone) with sporadic power and internet. The town evacuation center is like a huge tailgate party, with guitars, ukeleles, dogs and horses everywhere (we'll probably go hang out there tonight for fun), I've many folks monitoring the emergency channels (in case I lose internet) to keep me up to date, and we're just doing the burner thing and making a cozy party out of the whole thing. Please don't worry y'all, I've got a burner buddy here and we're good.

Morning Peeps. It's a self-made whirlwind of activity. I better have a drink now. There won't be time next week. Monday I start training my replacement at work. Yippy!

The Christmas Parade was a huge success. I loved the float making process.

This morning I bought my ticket for a local event in March. (3 night campout with lots of burner friends.)

Tons of small art projects started around here. I like the process more than the finished items. Last night I put bottle caps on a small hot plate and peeled off the inner linings. I made some HUGE necklaces by stringing big styrofoam Christmas balls. Keeping busy...

Lucky, I can't wait. The 2 years that I've been on the Amtrakathon people have said, "See you at the bunny Burn". I figured it was time I checked it out. Of course the planning has gone ballistic. The voodoo lounge is too ambitious for me alone. I have 2 other events that will fit right in. See you there for sure.

I took the basic Ranger training a few months ago. EXCELLENT STUFF! And applicable to all aspects of life, such as Perimeter and Theme Camp Management.

Have not done PBB, but might one day. It is certainly close enough to me.
One question: Is there swimming? Is it by any chance on Stony Gorge Reservoir? Of course, the water might be too cold anyway.

I think I would bring it up on either the 1st date (when discussing hobbies) or by the 2nd/3rd date, since--in the event of a relationship--the person is either going to have to 1) have interest in going themselves, or 2) will need to be Understanding when one takes off for 2 weeks off-grid & then comes back both Manic & Tired.
