It's those dainty hands. They're made for embroidery!

Dang, Jim was too quick for me. I was going to say "If I show up naked, will you show up in the same dress as me?" I guess I need to wake up earlier.

So... I missed the Hof Ting, but I was the ONLY entrant who made it thru the Mud Pit at the Klamath Falls Kinetic Sculpture Race. I also conquered KAGO Hill, and I had breakfast at the Green Blade Bakery -- and bought great bread to take home. You need to move the Hof Ting thing to a week earlier next year.

Congrats on the race, Elliot! And welcome back to those who'd been gone a while. Hof sounds like it was loads of fun, rough road and all. I spent my mornings in meetings and demos, and kept daydreaming about camping during the lulls. It's been unseasonably warm in the city the last few days, but even moreso further down south. I was glad to get back home and tinker around with designs and painting and whatnot, which is what I hope to get to do more of in the days ahead. We've got a few campmates coming over for a painting party tonight, which should be fun. Beer sounds, count me in!

Elliot! Are you coming to Corn valley on the 19-21.. You have to show these hicks how to do a kinetic race. They forget from year to year.. I'll be there to point and laugh, a.k.a. cheer you on..

There is a piano tuner thread on the board.. Drop in and tell them about your piano playa trip..

Yes, next Kinetic Sculpture Race is Corvallis, Oregon, third weekend of July, as part of the daVinci Days Festival of Art and Science.

Where Burning Man has its Man, KSR has its... Chicken. At the daVinci Days race, the Kinetic Chicken looks like Leonardo daVinci's Vitruvian Man.

Welcome back Moonrise, even if only for a hot minute. Feel better, there will be plenty of time for catching up.

Just finished up painting night #2 this week, huzzah! One of our campmates couldn't make what's been turning into a regular Tuesday thing, and offered to come by, hang out, and paint ziggurat parts with us tonight. Every day a little closer...

Interesting. I'll be taking a walk at about 7--when the fireworks are going off. I wonder if we'll see any cats.
