Yes, it was a great weekend spent doing art for art's sake (just like the mom says in the Malcolm in the Middle Burning Man episode), among other things.

Lookie what I made:

It's a crappy pic taken with my phone, but the idea is there. I need to work on it some more.

Actually, it's a bit darker than this pic shows, but it isn't all black and red swatches that's for sure. I want to do something like this again, but with a lighter sky.

so after much mentioning of the malcolm in burningman...I finally googled it...OMG...that was hellarious!!!! hats (and tops off to reese and mom! they got it!)

And was that guy spreading ash's suppose to be Larry?

(secret: I felt for Reese on the dont burn the man, almost brought a tear to my eye, definately made my nose burn and my throat swell!)

Yeah, that was 'Larry' and they were going to use rebar, but they figured no one would know why there was a piece of rebar sticking out of the ground.

I've learned that...even prior to my first burn...about everything in life...That you must set NO expectations...that when you lower your expectations, or delete even having tham prior to anything you do or experience, your like a child again, looking at the world for the first time...and are amazed on how unique and special everything is...from the smallest thing even!

The world is so wonderful, even the crappiest of situations...yes they hurt but if we didnt have a feeling, would you be alive?

yeah, Ive had at times a feeling of numbness...probably from pure boredom, and something "icky" will happen the ZING...yup Im alive, but seems at the same time able to see the beauty in life that during non-productive times seems not to be apparent.

...trying to brain out an idea on a head art for the 11-11 party...

haha head art...to be more explanitive...I have a bunch of maniquin heads covered in removable velvet bag (skin tight) covers, a strobe light, the Wheel of booze, and a mechanical thing that makes something its hung from go round and round, slowly.
was thinking something along the lines of that swimming guy out on playa...not to be a copycat...just borrow the idea for a night...maybe paint the mouth to be saying something.....?

Thanks. It's about the limit of my art for a while. Something small and portable. But yeah, let's do it. hmmm....maybe in about 10 months or so.

Umm...we met at the Michigan Decomp, but she lives a couple of hours away, so that is making our time together mostly virtual.
