Canadian-made regular bacon is delish. I don't know how it compares to its American-made counterpart, having not sampled a lot of the latter.
On the other hand, I really don't care for "Canadian bacon," i.e. back bacon. FYI, American friends, Canadians mostly eat the regular stuff.

Random citfh story! Many years ago, I was working in a restaurant in a tourist town on Vancouver Island. It was a shitty restaurant on the highway, so we didn't get locals, only tourists passing through, many of them American. Anyways, on one of my first shifts, this American family came in, and the dad, among other things, ordered pizza and tea. He asked if the bacon on our list of toppings was Canadian bacon. I had no idea at that time that "Canadian bacon" meant back bacon. So, somewhat puzzled, I responded that it was... because all of our meat was Canadian (like, duh!). He was SO MAD when the pizza came with regular bacon, and I had no idea why (but seriously... back bacon on pizza? Who does that?). And then the tea was another fiasco: I brought hot tea -- WRONG. He meant "cold tea." So I brought iced tea, which in Canada at that time referred specifically to a sugary, tea-and-lemon-flavoured powdered drink. Of course, that was ALSO wrong. And then I had to explain to him that cold, brewed tea was not a standard offering and would take some time to prepare. I think I almost re-ignited the war of 1812.

TPBM would be surprised to hear that the Canadians think they won the war of 1812.

Does that mean Canadian-made regular bacon is superior to American bacon and vice-versa?

High Hopes (Rubber Tree Plant song) as interpreted by Doris Day. Although in my head she's singing it with a thick as borscht Russian accent. WTF?
For the record, I'd love to hear it sung by Carol Channing (preferably in a strong Japanese accent).

Yeah, that's pretty much how I'm feeling after 8 hours at work in 92 degree heat. That's 92 degrees indoors. The AC in the shop has been broken for the past week. They were supposed to finally fix it today, but it was more than just the wiring issue they thought it was, so now we might need a compressor or something and get to suffer some more tomorrow.

And, MA: I must return the compliment! Your new avi is classy and consistent with the fertility theme! I love the wistful expression on her face.
