*kinda* secretly hiding it: part of why I don't see the hype is because i am vegan, and nothing beckons flack more in this society than walking into a room (or thread), saying, "Hi! I am a vegan, and therefore disavow bacon". So, yes, I do not get it. And yes, I am (barely) hiding that fact. (but years ago, I used to LOVE bacon before going veg, so I kinda do get it :) )

TPBM has one item they REALLY wanna bring to the Playa, but they are afraid it will be too MOOPY!

Yeah, I have this long white wig that glows in the dark. It's from a halloween costume. It's all tangled but I figured it would be very playa-suitable, except then I examined it and realized it sheds. Sigh....

TPBM swoons a little bit every time s/he sees Kiss-O-Matic's avatar.

Much as I hate to say it, the combo of the name and avatar (and maybe some of what he's said) make me think he's kinda full of himself.
tpbm hopes that there are no repercussions to my honesty. Or maybe just that I should have left it as a simple "no".

and this thread is nicely tucked away.

I don't care.
TPBM has had the past come out and bite him or her in his/her ass this year.

No, not really. When I was active with a facebook account in my own name, the past kind of lurked around corners and leered at me a lot. But I got away safely.

TPBM has a paranoid streak. You wanna know how I know?

So I'm told, but I only wash my hands 20-50 times a day. (in my defense, I have a very loose definition of wash-spray bottle with soapy water followed by a wipe with shop rag, and used engine oil is a known carcinogen.)

tpbm answered a surpising phone call today.

Actually that's one of the few people I would probably answer. I know s/he isn't as bad a dude as his rep sounds. Those crazy old dudes screwed it up for him when they wrote this book and forgot to mention it was a novel.

Poor God hasn't been able to live it down.

TPBM is mildly entertained by my response. BTW I'm kind of spiritual so parts of it I really do believe.

No. It's not boring, but it seems pretty standard.

I've never been a young man.
I did, however, just enjoy watching the trailer for it. It included the phrases phrases "abandoned banditry" and "high-spirited highwaymanry." Squee!

TPBM always wanted to be the narrator.

Funny story: one of my boyfriend's coworkers listened to Nyan cat for 8 hours straight while working. Into his own headphones of course.

Don't try this at home kids, he is a professional.

TPBM thinks my boyfriend's job is nutty.

EDIT: lazerfox beat me to it.

I'm going to assume that listening to nyan cat while at work was not a requirement of the job.

I hope not. Those sound like terrible dreams.

No. If for no other reason than if I have such a dream, it's going to be the dog's dander that will haunt me.
TPBM is going to dream of giant zuzu hampsters racing accross the playa.

Hampers, actually. Giant zoom-zoom laundry hampers. And they'll be spewing out playa costumes that need to be washed. Only there will be no water to wash them in, and I'll try to throw them in the porta-potties to get rid of them, but I'll get busted by robbidobbs and taken to the brig. *pant, pant*

TPBM knows where the brig is in BRC.

I have to admit that I actually didn't set foot at the man in 2011 at all. The temple was my calling.

I wasn't at BM in 2011...
Last time I was there (which was also the first time), back in 2000, I did go to see the man burn. That was the first year of the temple, and I don't remember knowing about it then.

TPBM is going to try a new, fancy beverage this weekend.
