And so it is Departure Eve's day. I'm an early riser,,,, even if I go to bed at 1AM, I'm up by 6 and ready to get things done! My crew, alas is still slumbering,,,, sighhhh. That's okay,,,, I cannot pick up the truck before 10 anyway, and no use moving shit around any more than necessary before the truck is here.

Skylar and Alex are such a precious couple. She is the one standing between me and Superman on the right and Skylar is the one laying on the ground. It is truly special to have someone who cares so enthusiastically about our little piece of paradise.

Roger (3rd from left) will be here this afternoon to help with the heavy stuff. The adventure begins! YAY!

I am in USA, with all my laguage and even with the 2 litres of Slivovice!
When officer at the airport asked me if I am bringing something to my friends I said " I bring me!"
He looked at me and said: Well, it is perfect!

And not for her bubbly personality either!!!

Thanks, Jammer!

So yesterday we had our first entire-camp sit-down and did some inventory before going out shopping for the missing pieces to commence building the extra shade. As it turns out, all I needed to buy was the shadecloth and rope, since we'll be perfectly able to put the shade between two vehicles... making Figjam's most excellent structure unnecessary this year.

Money saved went towards tarting up the bikes a bit more.... (because really! there's no such thing as money saved right about now, right??? it just gets redirected!)

Excited barely even covers it as all the finishing touches get done. :D

Good lord- everything fell into place today! My mother-not-in-law is heading home from the hospital today and doing much better, my bike has found a way out to the Burn (no room in our vehicle), my mind is calm, and, finally and officially: I am going to the Burn.

Does anyone have a ticket? (I slay myself sometimes....)

Yeah, I'm bouncing off the walls waiting. We're not rolling out until tomorrow late afternoon- for some reason our main driver wants to get a good nights sleep after running a club until 3am...

Well Hooray!! I finally cleaned all my camping gear and put it back in it's containers! And while doing it, I thought about next year! What I'll do differently, what NOT to bring, etc. It made me feel better about this decompression I'm going through. Tomorrow I'll put it all in storage till next year!!

Plus I found some playa dirt clods in a trash bag! It smelled like home!!

I will definitely NOT be bringing 8 pairs of panties. I came back with exactly 8 pairs of pristine CLEAN panties.... the only clean things I had left. Making me wonder how I could attach them together to make a nice clean exodus outfit.

It's just too fucking hot out there during the day for much in the way of clothing. (Ken misses that most of all, I'm told!)
