The earring was pink! The lip gloss had no flavor; it was just red.
I am really bummed about the loss of the tampon; it was a family heirloom.

sorry it was brown and chocolate flavored. the lip gloss was all sparkly. sorry about the tampon, but never bring what you arent prepared to lose. i am sure some sparklepony will have totally ignored it for you

I lost a plain white envelope on the playa with $10,000,000 in cash inside. It is (was?) both my entire life savings and my entire net worth. Without it I'm completely destitute. In fact, I'm writing this from a cardboard box under a bridge with a banged-up Dell laptop that I stole from Starbucks earlier today. The thing is, BBadger, I know I'm being lame and petty about the sparkle pony . And I'm certainly not proud of that. In fact, I've mentioned (or at least implied) somewhere around here that I struggled and felt guilty all week on the playa about my negative feelings toward her. I consider myself to be a pretty tolerant and accepting person IRL for the most part, and I really enjoyed everyone in my camp for different, individual reasons. And fuck, one of the principles is "radical inclusion." But she really rubbed me the wrong way. A *huge* part of that is that she was subtlety bitchy to me from the get-go before we even had any sort of real interaction. My feelings for her were both something I struggled with and something I did not feel I could honestly discuss/confide in about with other campmates -- I knew NONE of the people I camped with before meeting them in BRC, while most of them already knew each other. I figured eplaya was a place I could do so in a relatively anonymous fashion.

Anyway, back to the somewhat vague snark directed toward people who are clueless about it. That's way more fun.

Oh I was definitely being disingenuous when posting it here -- but that was the point.

Anyway, the "lame and petty" part is not regarding your feelings towards the other person, or whatever guilt you may have over it. Yeah, there are people who rub us the wrong way. Sure, maybe their transgressions are beyond forgiveness and acceptance. It may even fun to vent about them for a bit. That's all fine -- but don't get to the point that it becomes obsessive.

What's lame and petty is that you keep posting about that person like someone jealous of a celebrity. Are you going to keep on following her on Facebook and post every last attention whoring incident? Will you bring her up anytime "sparklepony" is mentioned on the forum?

What is this person to you?

Think about it: can you imagine how pleased that attention whore would be to know that someone has dedicated this much attention and vitriol towards her? Being hated is just about as good as being loved -- if not better. It's great to be the target of some huge diatribe where the other person lays out every last thing they can't stand about you in complete detail. Then you follow up with a nice "TL;DR" and go to the next thread.

But anyway, for you...

Show some indifference in the matter. Ignore the bitch and move on. You've got better things to do, and a fan-base here on the forum. Ignore the people beneath your attention and you can concentrate on what makes you feel good.
