Anything to slow some of these idiots down I suppose. Now, on to something way more serious. I know that Oasis 29 will be selling Indian tacos the Saturday before the gates open. Will there be NDNtacos sold at the Nixon school? Or does anyone have a better recommendation? I did Oasis 29 coming in last year and they were sub par. The Nixon school folks tacos on the way out were superior in every respect except for the price. But one year a little mom & pop was selling them on the right hand side of 447 and they were great. Haven't seen them since 2009. Any recommendations for Indian tacos?

and strange question #2, when you say Malt vinegar do you mean the brown stuff (normal ) or the white stuff which is distilled apparentely? i was looking a the 2 bottles for about 20 minutes today.....

This is what you'd find in most all restaurants, for raw fries and such. Depends on what it's for.

Apple cider vinegar is a light brown. Tasty.

I had some imported malt vinigar from the UK once.

I can report, the road there is open and good, two lanes of traffic.
we experienced no construction equipment or any delays.
Maybe it was Saturday? I dunno, but it was an easy drive in.

the playa is very nice. some sand snakes and dense dunes, but otherwise very nice condition, from what I saw.

so, in other words: "BurningMan sucks....don't go".............

tired though, 3 hours sleep, and driving up there and back, is daunting.
Leaving again very late tomorrow, for the duration.

Big difference between malt vinegar (like I posted the pic of) and ACV. ACV is way tastier, true, if you get Bragg's or something with the mother in it. And, I can consume it. Malt vinegar, as a gluten-free person, no can do.

So, again, it depends on what it's for!

Mixer-wise, lots of vinegars can contribute to a pretty tasty cocktail...

Man, this has not been a great week for animals in our household. We lost our oldest cat earlier in the week (he'd been sick for a while, but after doing well on meds for months he took a sudden sharp turn for the worse), and then an hour or so ago as I was sitting down for a minute after a long long day of painting and prep, I knocked some big pieces that went crashing into the giant crock fishtank, smashing it into pieces. Fuck, what a mess! And in the mad scramble to get power cords and connectors out of the way, one of my studio monitors came tumbling off its stand and onto my unsuspecting noggin. Fortunately it's made of hard stuff, and even more fortunately we appear to have saved all the fish. Our younger cat wasn't in the vicinity and was completely unscathed, though she shot me a look that said "stay away from me or I'll cut you"... it may have been imagined, or had something to do with the armload of soaking wet towels I was carrying at the time. Fortunately we were able to scramble up some makeshift digs, and our finny little friends are in a 5 gallon bucket with most of their plants and working air/water to get them through til we sort a new place for them.

Now to grab a shower and a drink, then start prepping for our last pre-playa camp meetup tomorrow. Sunday's going to be action-packed!
