I dream
of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of fire
Those dreams that tie two hearts that will never die
And near the flames
The shadows play in the shape of the mans desire

This desert rose
Whose shadow bears the secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume that would torture you more than this

And now she turns
This way she moves in the logic of all my dreams
This fire burns
I realize that nothings as it seems

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of rain
I lift my gaze to empty skies above
I close my eyes
The rare perfume is the sweet intoxication of love

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

Sweet desert rose
Whose shadow bears the secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume that would torture you more than this

Sweet desert rose
This memory of hidden hearts and souls
This desert flower
This rare perfurme is the sweet intoxication of love

Mozybonz;

Thanks for sharing that video and going to the extra trouble of the lyrics. Really a special performance there.

Fireball XL-5 Lyrics:

I wish I was a space man.
The fastest guy alive.
I'd fly you round the universe,
In Fireball XL-5.
Way out in space together,
Compass of the sky,
My heart would be a fireball,
A fireball,
Everytime I gazed into your starry eyes.

We'd take the path to Jupiter,
And maybe very soon.
We'd cruise along the Milky Way,
And land upon the moon.
To our wonderland of stardust,
We'll zoom our way to Mars,
My heart would be a fireball,
A fireball,
If you would be my Venus of the stars.

Put your feet right up here on the footstool. I am good at foot massage. You can tell me all about the machine breakdowns last night while I fix your feet.

~gets a tub of warm water, towel and peppermint foot massage cream~

Okay, I'm ready. Sit down, take your shoes off AND that's an order!

Yes Mistress.....

Bad long night, good long day.
No really a typical monday.
Or maybe it is?
Turbine still going round and round.
Sort of, we hope it will continue.
Control glitchs suck.
Got off this morning and taught a couple of kids how to make rocks.
:D
Got to change a tire for a lady on my way out of the valley this morning.
:D
Mondays are just way to long though.

Put both your feet in the warm water and soak for a minute.

Now would you like a cuppa tea. Green tea is good for you and doesn't have as much caffeine, calms the nerves, I find.

You're such a sweet goat, helping people out. I can imagine the young people got a thrill out of the rock making, I know I did.

And that lady with a flat tire, she owes you big hugs! Especially on a hot day.

NO CAFFINE?????

But I still have way to many hours to go yet.....

It is fun, and calming in its own way.
Got one done for my sweetie last Sunday.
When I get home we are going to get it fixed up with a setting and a silver chain for her.

Here's a cuppa green tea - it has LESS caffeine, not zero.

How 'bout a little calm music. Oh yeah, you can't watch You Tube on that computer. Okay, just think calm thoughts.

Give me your right foot and I'll rub some of this nice peppermint lotion into it.

A silver setting would be real nice for one of your rocks. I haven't figured out what to do with my special one yet. I've been researching different settings. I'm worried about it cracking so I want it to be a solid setting that would capture the whole of it, if that makes sense. I'll find something soon.

ah, you must have this on your iPod. Never heard of her but I love this type of music. Loreena McKennit is from my area and she sings similar music.

if you ever do break it Deb let me know.
They are kind of fragile, but in a way it is kind of fitting for them to be.

ahhh, ticklish are you?

This is a nice massage, not an evil one! Okay, bring your other foot out of the water and put it on the towel for a minute.

~wraps right foot in fresh socks and left foot in towel~

More tea?

Yes, the rocks seem a little fragile and this one has special ashes so I'll be careful. I have more of those fire ashes though so we could make another. I love the way this one came out though, it's quite beautiful.

Time to rub your left foot, don't worry no tickles

LOL

Just got to thinking the last time I had a foot massage was on Draka.
A young guy jumped on and offered foot massages to everyone and they seemed SCARED of him, except for me.....He did a wonderful job.

But then again scorch scared them also....

Ever been to the Celtic Colours festival?

Fresh sock for the left foot now. There, I did that quickly, in case you had to run back to the controls!

I've never been to the Celtic Colours Festival. Where is that held? I've been to a couple of Highland Festival in our area. Embro is the most famous and then Elora and also Dutton.

I love the bagpipes too but never learned how to play. I wanted to learn from my grampa but he was past having the patience to teach when I was old enough to learn. He just played to take his mind off the war usually. It was a very mournful tune he played and he walked while he played too. You could hear him for miles.

Cape Breton in October would be delightful. Cool yet still warm enough to enjoy the fall colours.

A practice cantor is a brilliant idea. There's even a man here who makes them. I wonder why I never thought of that! I could have tortured my children but now they're grown.

Do you play the pipes?

She was threating my health.

Yes, a Scot named Gord Tuck lives around the corner from me. He is retired now but used to have a work shop at his aluminum siding business. On the side he would repair old steam traction boiler engines and make cantors for the bagpipe folks. He's known all over the world for the quality of them.

I learned about him because I helped restore a steam locomotive and he had some of the best expertise so we went to his shop. He taught me how to weld.

Never tried a penny whistle either. I guess I better get busy and learn something. I've always wanted to be musical and never learned anything! I was the oldest of seven so I was cooking and cleaning long before the idea of playing entered my head.

Go for the whistle first, easy to learn, and a lot of it carries over to the cantor.
:D

It is a lot of fun, lol, will make you realize just how well your fingers don't work.....
:D

I listen to some and think dam I wish they would slow down.
Irishmen on crank....
