Morning Bar! Wake up sleepyheads!

Beautiful day here in Reno...

Helped Nina move the bulk of her stuff yesterday, maybe one more small load today of what we can fit in our vehicles. A little stiff and sore from yesterday (upstairs apartment). A massage would be nice but moving around some and the kinks should be forgotten soon.

Working on camp fundraiser item and maybe putting up yurt with daughter today.

Have a lovely day ya'll

Morning, Lucky. Good luck in your new place, Elorrum.

Had great fun at the Burnal Equinox in SF last night. Ratty caught up with me late, but we had some good time together and a great couple of hugs.

Quiet day at home today :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Around 5:00 this afternoon drove the dog down to the Frisbee park then walked south/southeast on a dirt road for about two miles paralleling the Carson river. Wearing shorts and a Tshirt. Was in low 60s at the time but sure was alot of bugs flying around.
Off tomorrow.

It was beautiful here this past weekend. On Saturday we went to Crystal Hot Springs for a soak and a swim, and Peach City for old fashioned malts. They still have car hops! Yesterday was errands and a run down south of SLC for the fire conclave meet n greet. Nice to see the family, and plans in motion.

Been painting the cabinets in the kitchen too. Well, Larry does, under my "supervision". Heh.

Morning, Bar! And thanks for the birthday wishes, it's been quite a wonderful and relaxing weekend filled with art and nonsense. A bit of technical junk related to a render project I'm working on, but that was a relatively minor thing. Today's off to a groggy start, then meetings/announcement stuff starting up shortly, hopefully to be followed soon after by lots of loud music and more art and nonsense. Cheers!

Afternoon All!
I hate this time change. Seventh consecutive year I took off the Monday following DST change.

Had to take the car to the dealer for that GM recall. It was so fuckin stupid :? . I almost didn't go through with it. It was for ignition keys that had a "crescent moon" of sorts shape hole for the key ring :? . They added a matching color of some kind of epoxy to make a smaller, round hole....about the size of the zero on your keyboard :?. I still have a key with the crescent shape hole and they asked when I would be bringing the other key in. I said "I'm not". If I have to bring the car in for something else, I'll bring the other key. They make it sound as if the ignition switch may be defective when the key ring hole was to big. It was suggested to remove any excess weight from the key making it sound like the contacts in the switch were wearing possibly resulting in a fire. I've heard that it possible but as the saying goes nowadays, "It is what it is". They didn't want the Ralph Nader types breathing down their neck again. The guy in service department thought it was a big joke as well.

Criminy! One of the first things I learned about cars 60 years ago was to NOT hang any extra weight on the ignition key. Over the years I have shuddered at the boat anchors some people hang on there.
People who grew up with video games instead of erector sets have zero sense of mechanical things.
Hrumph.

Elliot:
I agree with you 100%. My dad told me that when I first started driving. All I have is a key ring with the ignition key. My house keys and work keys are on a separate key ring....one I hook on my belt loop.....and as it trys to tug my pants down, I can imagine what it be doin to the contacts in an ignition switch. I don't even keep the "remote" key with the ignition key.
But hey, it was part of a recall so I figure WTF. Evidently somebody with that type of key had a lot of unnecessary items and had a big WHOOPS!
