Man arrested after ejaculating during TSA pat-down

Note: I cannot vouch for this actually happening. It's just not that stimulating, personally.

Ahem.
The rest of the story.

Which of us are going to stand and point out that this is the IDENTICAL thing that happened in nazi Germany. If you even give the appearance of questioning them, you will be taken off to jail. The fines and the sentences are stiff.
The TSA agents are uniformed, obedient agents of our government-- just like the the SS guards.

well, that might be a bit of a stretch, but, I do see what you're getting at.
It seems I don't understand, why so many people fly so much?
Is it too cheap?
I can't see it so necessary, really.
We used to take a road trip, to visit folks far away.
We used to live near where we worked.
We used to vacation, maybe once per year, and, drove as often as not.
Sure, things have changed, I get that.
But,
How about just not flying?
I bet, given the pressures of people not flying, the airlines, would pressure TSA , et al, to change tactics, or, come up with something better.
Or, accept the risk and get rid of this crap.
And, imagine the fun and shenanigans, if TSA were to disappear, and, travelers decided to police themselves?.......
What fun, if a "mob mentality" took over, and, people decided to "screen" suspicious looking folks?
Oh, the hilarity that would ensue.
"get a rope"
It's a sticky wicket, this need for perfect security, ease of use, passenger friendly, non offensive, ways to employ folks to make us feel safe.......

The people who want to fly, don't want to get blown up flying. So of course they consent to the searching.ygmir wrote:well, that might be a bit of a stretch, but, I do see what you're getting at.

I'd love to be able to take a boat over the atlantic or pacific, but not an available option, so next time I cross the waters...

There's gotta be boats crossing, that you could book passage on.
I can see time or cost as an issue, but, not availability.
yeah, of course, people don't want to get blown up.
that's not the issue.
I'd think, the issue is more the trade off between safety and privacy/rights.
seems, they are quite often, at odds with each other.

Very true! However it was under Obama that you must have a blue examining gloved agent manipulate and rummage around your testicles before you have the governments permission to fly on a plane. And if you object, you WILL be taken to jail!Neutrality wrote:To be fair, the 911 hysteria stuff started out under Bush, not Obama.Shambala wrote:I am starting to think that if they run their hand up his inner thigh, they won't be banging into any testicles!Box Burner wrote:It is a well known fact that people that break down and do weird shit like hijacking airplanes are under a lot of stress. Why do people use email more than a hand-written letter (which still has the power to make someones day)?ygmir wrote:It seems I don't understand, why so many people fly so much?
Why do people pay twice as much for 2-day shipping instead of waiting 5 days to get their book?
Why do people get upset when the person who was ahead of them (ie: got there first) doesn't move "fast enough"?
We've been trained to want things now! How many of us get cranky because it takes eplaya 30 seconds or so to put up a post? You really expect "most" people to want to spend 2 or 3 days of their precious vacation in driving somewhere?
People think of flying as a convenience- for now. As the TSA gets more intrusive that may change, and for at least shorter trips you might just see less flights.
Right now driving from SF-LA is 6ish hours, depending on driver & traffic. Flying is 90 minutes- but you have to be at the airport at least an hour before your flight, 90 minutes to be safe, if you check baggage you need to plan on another 30 minutes waiting around for that, you need to figure how long it's going to take you to get out of the airport- you're looking at 3-4 hours if you fly. It doesn't take many more annoyances to tip that into a "never-mind" category and put people back in their cars.

A pregnant attorney was held in a glass cage for an hour as punishment for complaining about TSA x-raying her milk, in violation of their own rules.
They admitted doing it to punish her for asserting her rights.
A police officer opened the cage after she started crying.
She has, of course, obtained the surveillance tapes and released them to the media.
Abuse of power is only to be expected, to any extent allowed.

I can see, or at least it seems to me, the TSA is starting to form an "Us vs Them" attitude, along with megalomania..........
one can see how, many, will be pushing their "power" just because they can
and, I'm sure, they hire none but the "best and brightest" for the job.
That said, I'm sure there are many "good" TSA agents, and, unfortunately, they'll get categorized with the ones groping young people for "fun".
Sure, no "profiling", but, Jeebus cripes, working over an old white guy in a wheelchair, or pantsing one?
C'mon..........

Asked Grandpa if he wanted to fly down and do some gambleing.. He said fuck no.. Last time was enough.. He has a knee brace and a ankle brace.. He offered to take them off.. TSA said no.. They spent 20 min,. dancing him around with detectors and sniffers.. The old fart is 86 100% disabled war vet.. The watery eyed old fuck sure looks like a mad bomber to me..
