No, no, no. god gave you elbows for a reason. Hooks are too easy to block; however, elbows esp. when combined with the rotational force of your hips are both harder to block and more powerful. If ass-grabbed from behind, step back until you are next to his/her body and then step to the opposite of your power arm. Bend at the knees and bring your body and elbow straight up with as much force as possible keeping your forearm vertical to the floor. The idea is to impact his/her jaw with your elbow with as much force as you can muster. Follow through with an eye rake.

I used to teach this stuff.
