First I heard of this, and I have to say if it's true, I don't think it's good tactics. BM itself started small and grew organically before there was an LLC and land costs and everything. I can look back and see that some lucky accidents took place, as well as the skill in dealing with problems that came up later. I have my issues with the LLC but I have no illusion that I can waltz in and start up something else just like that. If it were I, I'd have a small thing with word or mouth and invitation and get it established before going after Larry and the big "boys." At least that way, if it crash and burns, it's not a huge public disgrace that ends up feeding BM in some wierd backwards way.Zulegoona wrote: Somebody on SF tribe speculated that Jim was positioning things to make a splash with a new event he would set up in California someplace on privet land. But I don't know how seriously to take that.

Hit 40 this summer. Still feel like the same old fishy, only sightly less jejune and embarrassing.helitack wrote:Fuck, it's my birthday so may I have a little whiskey to go with this coffee I'm drinking. Funny, I don;t feel old, just wiser, no regrets, just wondering why I headed down the paths I have taken. Sometimes it seems if it is all for naught, but I know there is a reason. Nuff said, now how about my whiskey?

I think that all the important moment of GI happened in the mind of the viewers anyway, while they tried to make sence out of the unintentional surrealism. Or maybe it was a dream sequence.Sensei wrote:Sensei wrote:What do you suppose Samtzu was whisperin' in Lydia's ear?And I don't remember any episodes of Gilligan's Island where any of the characters ever said, "I want to taste you like the piece of candy that you are...". Maybe part of Hitler's problem was his self image as an artist.Sensei wrote:While samtzu's nazi satire is, ah, satire, I see both sides here. Don't like the messenger, or the message? Too self-important and self-righteous for you guys? He's supposed to be emotional; again with the ar-teest thing. Does that mean I agree with his message?
Ever wonder about world history if he had died of flu and Schiele had lived to become dictator of Germany? No? Sencible of you.

And that deer... 3 points, probably 175 pounds... poor guy.
Ack... what a fucking night.

Most likely will call, I have this funny notion of always wanting to get everyone all together on the same page. I will tear my hair out over it, though.....I have no expectation or hope (anymore) of any kind of normalcy (whatever the hell that means) from or for him. Best I can do is provide honest answers to the little one's questions, of which there are many. She knows more than I ever did at that age.

I once wanted to write a deliberately bad play about their rooming together at art school (always ready to re-arrange history a little) but the sad truth is that I couldn't write a good play, much less a deliberately bad one. On the other had, nice to know that the idea has a certain resonance.samtzu wrote:Fishy!!! Wow!! I've had that same thought for the last twenty years!! Have you looked into support groups (local or on-line) for relatives of schizophrenics? It might be worth trying.gigglesnort wrote:Most likely will call, I have this funny notion of always wanting to get everyone all together on the same page.
