Advice for a regional ?

Post by Xiija » Sat Jul 23, 2022 8:47 am

Greets :P

So, our regional is a virtual one ( second life ) and we are
having problems with the regional leadership, and many burners are wondering
if there is any oversight or review of regionals by burning man? ...or any contact
info for burners who might wish to try and save what is left of the community there?

Thanx for any info , suggestions or links,

Xiija ( Burn2 dirt ranger )

Nope.

All authority is local.

Got to duke it out amongst yourselves.

Best part of Burning Man - there are no adults in the room.

Have at it ant tell a grand tale.

No one will ever convince me that a virtual "Burn" is a Burn at all. Sorry, just my opinion (which is often at odds with others)

Sounds like a great opportunity to start something real in your region. Start small like a camp out with 50-100 people. See if it grows. If not I'm sure it will be a really fun camp out.

Or check out a nearby regional. You know, where no one is an avatar and no one talks through a keyboard.

I just find it strange that BM makes a big deal about using their
copyrighted stuff, but would let a regional possibly tarnish the
BM brand name? .. anyhoo, ty for inputs :P

How are the people in that regional tarnishing BM's brand name?
