This morning, I woke up with nothing but time to kill. So I stabbed it several times, till it was finally dead. Off I go to my double duty grind.

You know I learned to fly fish from my dad. He started sometime back in the 40s. He chose fly fishing because he really hated buying bait. For what he would spend on one fishing trip for bait he could buy Fly tying supplies that would last him for years.
I learned a lot from him. I also learned that presentation when you’re fishing is everything. Also knowing the invisible currents of the river. One thing I remember is.... out of all the flies in your fly box.....That one that looks like it’s broken and hurt, stepped on and beat up severely with a flyswatter.... Will catch bigger fish than that perfect one in the box.
Shhh I’m not hunting rabbits i’m fishing for a Qbert.

July 26 2011 I found out what the definition of "Sparkle Pony" is. I absolutely did not know, when I posted. My apologies!!! Everything makes sense now. Still clueless, but not so much.

I'm so sorry, I know the feeling. I'm not going to elaborate, but that's why I don't ignore anything that sounds like a plea for help. My sincere condolences.

You’re making it hard to stay hidden. I understand. No worries.
My concern is with someone I’ve lost contact with. Which is just about everybody. I’m worried about a monkey edit> a person not a problem .

Only a few know. But it Is a reference to the loss of my tribe. People close to me over the years that went before their time. I’m still not sure if I lost somebody at Ghost Ship. I don’t want to know.

Poe wrote:"The Masque of the Red Death" (originally published as "The Mask of the Red Death: A Fantasy") is a short story by American writer Edgar Allan Poe, first published in 1842. The story follows Prince Prospero's attempts to avoid a dangerous plague, known as the Red Death, by hiding in his abbey. He, along with many other wealthy nobles, hosts a masquerade ball in seven rooms of the abbey, each decorated with a different color. In the midst of their revelry, a mysterious figure disguised as a Red Death victim enters and makes his way through each of the rooms. Prospero dies after confronting this stranger, whose "costume" proves to contain nothing tangible inside it; the guests also die in turn.

To be sure, Earth is facing some big problems, including climate change, overpopulation, epidemics, and asteroid strikes. But before we flee this planet like an action hero jumping out of an explosion, let’s think about this for a second. Sure, it’d be great to have a backup civilization somewhere in case asteroids wipe out all life on Earth. And it would be one of the most exciting things humankind has ever done. But what would it actually require?

Mars is a somewhat obvious choice because it’s nearby, but it’s not exactly Earth 2.0. In fact, it’s arguably a lot worse off than Earth. It has toxic soil, it’s freezing cold, and the air is unbreathable. Any Martian colony would likely rely on regular care packages from home, which would not work well if Earth was done-zo.

If we really want to find the perfect home away from home, we could look to other star systems: with billions of planets in the Milky Way, there’s a good chance some will have water, land, and breathable air. But so far we haven’t found Earth’s twin, and our telescopes don’t have the kind of resolution that could tell us in detail what an exoplanet is like. Also, it would take hundreds of years to get there, and if those passengers don’t die along the way, they’d likely evolve into a new species before they even got to their new planet.

We would need to send significant numbers of people to other worlds in order to ensure the survival of the human species. Small colonies are subject to genetic anomalies from inbreeding, and vulnerable to getting wiped out in accidents.

NASA’s missions to Mars will likely only carry as many as six people at a time to the red planet. SpaceX wants to develop an Interplanetary Transport System to deliver 100 Martian settlers at a time, but at the moment it is nothing more than an imaginary behemoth.

The interstellar route is even more challenging, because we don’t even have an imaginary spacecraft capable of supporting thousands of people for hundreds of years on an interstellar journey.

And in either case, there’s always the politically charged question of: who goes and who stays? Do poor and disadvantaged people get left behind on a hellish world?

I don't agree with you. We are so close to space travel. When the speech came for space travel we could recall only SpaceX and NASA recently, but now, how many people are working on rockets building, what a space race is now. And on the Internet there is a scheme of the first living place on Mars, we even know the approximate price for one flight. I know that from the first launch to the Moon a lot of time passed, but that is not a small thing to rebuild the rocket to fly in outer space, even the cargo delivery to ISS is a big deal. But it is a great pleasure to find out that almost in each country there could be one or even more rocket making company.

Snickers
If we can’t fix this planet what makes you think it’s gonna be better someplace else?
Magical thinking ....it’s always greener on that other hill..... but somebody just painted that hill green. don’t be fooled.
Let’s figured this one out before we jump ship. The sea of space is not a very inviting. place.

spit take
[spit take]
NOUN
informal
(especially as a comic technique) an act of suddenly spitting out liquid one is drinking in response to something funny or surprising.
"the goofy script and flat characters would never fly without all the spit takes" · "if I'd been drinking something when he said that, I'd have done a spit take"

Trump must be proud.
