Volunteer - Current Needs

We want to volunteer but the currents needs list is from last year. What's up with that?

at this point it's pretty safe to say that all the departments currently need volunteers for '06. i know i do!

step 1: fill out the volunteer questionaire: http://www2.burningman.com/people/
step 2: wait to hear from the Volunteer Coordinators for the departments you checked off on your questionaire.
step 3: go to burningman and participate!

I was wondering about work weekends. I bet lots'o people want to know?

That would be under DPW. I know when there's a work weekend coming up because I filled out my questionnaire with DPW checked, so they put me on their email list. The first work weekend has already come and gone, but there will be many more.

Yeah, DPW has been busy. Google maps got a recent shot of them in action. Search for Gerlach then up and to the right a little on the satilite map, you can see the layout for this year. You can zoom in pretty far.

that form is pretty much THE way we get recruitment and contact info. that and a lot of word of mouth.

crapola, and people wonder why i put effort into this place, and then wonder at my reaction against comments that online communities dont have that much of an impact.

i agree with dvd on this becomming a sticky, just like reporting photo rips and such... the info gets lost or forgotton.

and folks who are super-enviro minded to be WASTE WARRIORS!!! keeping the cafe beautiful and the recyclers busy!
