My girlfriend is already on the playa from Tuesday, building up an artwork with a crew from Belgium (www.burningexperience.be).. she left Belgium on August 11 and will only be back on September 08.
Rather than to send her a warm message of support and love through Fedex or UPS, I would like to find someone who can hand over my message of Hope and Love.
Is there any one from you who is leaving for the playa very soon and is prepared to deliver my message..
need help... want to deliver a warm love message to te playa

Shamrock,
I will be arriving on the playa this Sunday evening (day after tomorrow). I could deliver your message Monday morning (possibly Sunday night if I could locate their camp in the darkness). If you are unable to find anyone who could deliver it sooner, I would be happy to deliver it for you.
Also, there is internet on the playa. She might not know how to access it, but there is internet access there.

I have your message, transcribed it onto paper by hand, sealed it in an envelope and it is already packed. I understand from the BRC DPW that the area where Uchronia is being built is brightly lit all night so I will have no trouble locating it.

Your message was delivered on pre-event Monday at around 1:30 pm. I arrived at the building site to find nobody there. Apparently everyone was taking a break for lunch. I drove over to the temple and the people there were able to point out the base camp so I drove back and delivered the message. Needing to get my personal shelter set up before a gate shift that afternoon, I was unable to spend any time there but did return to the camp later in the week just to chat about the project for about an hour.
That project brought many out off the esplanade and into the deep playa that would not otherwise have spent much time out there. Amazing.
