Tuesday Medivac - NEED DETAILS

I am looking for information about the woman who was injured by falling scaffolding during a dust storm on Tuesday. A friend said she was medivac'ed out. Does anyone know if she pulled through OK? Or more details about what happened? OR her name? Or where I can find out?

The rumor mill has it that she died but I haven't heard that from others so I am skeptical. Another friend said she died but that the Burning Man corporation would likely be keeping that quiet.

I don't know who to believe.

I know that Heli. I've seen both sides of the coin with it....it's protected records when distant family tried to meddle in my grandfather's business during his last days. It's also kept me from finding out things about my own mother that she asked me to check on because I didn't have the proper release / permissions for it. (I handle much of her stuff so I periodically have to punch through it)

It really is no one's fucking business except for the people involved. Those who really need to know, know. That would be immediate family and anyone they decide to release details to. How would you feel if someone reported that redtimmy died at the event, but you really weren't the redtimmy that died. Then you decide to take the long road home and everyone thinks you were the one who died. Lots of grief goes around your friends and family, and then you show up. Suddenly someone wants to sue someone for causing them grief and suffering wrongfully.

I deal with this stuff every day. I don't even give patients names on the radio, I call dispatch on the phone for the case number on the WildCad.

I'm getting better at working through it but for me it's lumped into the group of laws like Sarbanes-Oxley that have made life miserable of late. I understand the "why", but sometimes compliance is a bitch.
