CD Cover Art -- Thanks to bucky and J.B.

Post by ZaphodBurner » Tue Jun 12, 2007 3:28 pm

I would like to recognize and thank photographer bucky sparkle and fire artist Jonathan Buckmeister. Bucky gave us permission to use and modify his photograph for the cover of our new record.

I'm not going to plug the CD here, but I'm including the link to show the art: http://cdbaby.com/cd/logoseyemusic

We were unable to contact Jonathan Buckmeister. If anybody knows how to find him, please shoot a message to either of the addresses below.

As for the record, (heavy rock) the theme is heavily inspired by life-changing events that happened in an around the burn including the death of friends, our own near-death experience on the way to our first burn, and the visceral realization of Hurricane Katrina at BM05; beyond that it's about the fragile glory and shared joy of simply being alive.

The title track features guest appearances by the Aurora Borealis, the sun and some other curious transient HAM radio recordings.

This is a not-for-profit experimental art project and I would like to make it available to fellow Playa People at or less than cost. Probably rip it to Limewire soon. Don't buy it without contacting me first, and feel free to rip, copy and share. Otherwise, we're sending bucky a bunch of copies so if you know him, give him the business and not me.

Cheers, and thanks again to bucky and Jonathan! (Wherever he is.)
