Kiess meteor shower peeks 4:26am Sept 1..

it will be bright enough to see even with the bright moon..

this will occur four days after the full moon and full eclipse 3:oo-5:oo am on Aug 28..

So...no your not to stone and seeing things..

I think the moon might make it hard to see the shooting starts beginning of September. Maybe not...

but this weekend coming up, august 12 and 13 2007 after midnite, no moon... should be great. just look up (outside of course)

Also right now we got another space shuttle on the way to the ISS. there are lots of viewing opportunites, where I am at least.

the Kiess meteor site said you should be able to see the shooters inspite of the full moon.. the moon should be slightly south and west on the playa that time of the morning.. the meteor will pass in the north east..

:( Shoot! And I am going to miss this year (despite having some sort of dream of fixing up a school bus to go in last night. Seemed I was having trouble trying to decide how to attach a home made wind generator or some such thing. Maybe I am receiving visions form a parallel universe...?!! :shock: :wink: )
