Maybe instead of Professional Artists maybe it should be Active Artist or something like that.

Very true - I am a firm believer that a well rounded education is better than a narrow focus. Theres a reason they teach philosophy to doctors, and mathematicians or history to a physics major.

At the same time, some of the most intelligent people i know have never stepped foot in a University or college.

In my experience -- for comic relief. IMO there is nothing so broadening as a technical education wrt the reality of human frailty.
