9/11 and Charlies War?

If the Russians were successful in Afghanistan, would there had been a 9/11?

And if the Afghanistani Taliban knew about Al Qaida's plan for 9/11, would they support it knowing that it was the USA that supplied their weapons to the Mujahadeen?

Just saw the History channel's documentary on Charlie Wilson and they ask the same question I had asked in the topic. Their answer was that the USSR was bigger threat then 9/11. I believe that USSR was going down regardless of Afganistan's outcome. But yes, you're right about Erick profitting from the current situation. Even though, all this shit is really not Erick's fault, but the Bush admin. We shouldn't have been there in the first place. He's just a good christian doing GOD's work. Right!
