I don't generally drink coffee. I am one of those weirdos who can function better without it.

TPBM is always unnerved when I say that.

alas no. I'm more like OR. If I drink a soda after 11:30pm I'm up all night.

I prefer everything over soda. Like coffee and tea about the same. That is, I like both of them.

TPBM prefers to drink water with meals.

Yes, except coffee with breakfast.

TPBM likes coffee flavored anything, such as gum, jello or beer.

Can't stand the smell or taste of coffee.

Um, the parts of Europe which aren't touching the Atlantic Ocean? And not Austria and Switzerland, but the rest which most Americans can't name without a map? And not Russia, because that's ... Russia. (And I studied geography, go figure). No really, I know the real answer, just giving the one most Americans think of first.

TPBM is embarrassed they would have to look that up to be sure.

Look up what other americans think? I hope I don't have to do it, it would make my head ache.
(I'd probably go with former communist countries but then germany and the balkans would be a little poorly defined. But "Central Europe" is the sausage and baking zone!)
TPBM knows, and is used to, the fact that these are as much art as science.

Probably. I don't know why I thought reading eplaya would be soothing.

No. I hate the olympics. Although I hear that the tribute to Mohammed Ali was ... over the top.
TPBM really only likes the winter olympics anyway.

If the underdog is the poor citizen of the world trying to avoid all Olympic claptrap for these two weeks, then yes.
TPBM thinks that the way most americans think they should be winning the hockey every four years are arrogant beyond words. And when you think about it, a "miracle on ice" becomes banal when it is expected...

a true miracle on ice is when we don't slip and fall on a patient who wiped out on black ice
