Yeah, I am sure it tastes a little like that. Which is why I am going to Los Tres Hermanos instead.

I never understood why someone would want to buy tacos from a burger place. The concept just seems...wrong. Maybe I'm missing something but unless I hear angels on high or some people I know singing the praises of Jack in the Box tacos I'll stick with Taco Hell or Taco Johns.

By the way...are those Indian tacos you see for sale all along 447 during Exodus any good? And are they safe to eat? I've been tempted to stop but I'm also very leery of having to stop in Reno for bottles of Kaopectate if I do.

I haven't tried those particular ones, but I bet they're about as safe as any other food. Not a taco like we're used to, basically they're Indian fry bread with taco toppings. I've had good ones, never a bad one. Personally, I just like fry bread with butter and honey. Fry bread? Is that fried bread you ask? No, more like a big soft puffy tortilla. Kinda. Sorta.

We have taco stands downtown Ogden, they serve cute little tacos on soft corn tortillas. yum yum yum. About a buck apiece. Nice variety of fillings.

nothing better then those little Taco Carnitas from those taco trucks- I like the tongue as well!

Luckily, we don't have Crack in the Box on the east coast. Plenty of other places to get salmonella poisoning. Like Tomatoes and Spinach!

I've had the Indian (NDN) Tacos at the road side stands, and other than being greasy (which is good), I think they're great. The best part is that the folks are super friendly, so you get to yap with some locals.

The ones I have had came piled high with lettuce, tomatoes, beans and cheese. It was very refreshing to have some fresh lettuce and tomatoes. They are basically a tostada on fry bread, instead of a tortilla. The fry bread is like poori, sort of? Poori is the puffy bread you get at Indian, not Indian, restaurants.

The best tacos i ever had were from a street vendor in Rosarita Mexico. 3-330 am on a wednesday during the summer

great meat, chopped up with a chucnk of sharpened steel that looked like an axle leaf on a block of wood, and cooked on a flat plate of stel over afire.

I was drunk and in recollection it could have been horrible, but that s how I remember it - so I could be completly off base with reality

The fry bread I had at four corners was very crispy.
And great.

No Jack in the Box'es here.

After getting caught inthe Australia "mistery meat" (kangaroo?) debacle
about 20 years ago they closed all their stores east of the Mississippi
River.

I don't miss Jack in the Box...they used to be in KC many years back. However I wish that In N Out Burgers would expand. I tried my first one 3 years ago on my way back from BRC and loved it!
Back to Jack in the Box, weren't they the same chain that had the e.coli fatalities several years ago?

You'll never see In-N-Out east of AZ or NV. We're fortunate to have the three in northern Nevada. It's still a family owned business, they have a fleet of their own clean trucks and they want their trucks to avoid inclement weather when possible because of the claim that everything is fresh.

Great place, but they lost points when they changed their bumper sticker design. :)
