WHERE IS? AMERICA'S ART HGHWAY?
I don't know.....
I would humble submit Hwy, 447 from Wadsworth to Cedarville.
Pieces that are BURN PROOF, bullet proof, that would stand out and compliment the natural view. I can think of many works that would be GREAT located on a hill or plain just off 447.....
But what the FUCK do I know.....

did you forget to take your meds?
I LIKE GURU RD. or doobie rd or whatever....i love fly, and the crane that hangs over the pool.
and Nixon, wadsworth, fernley, imlay falls, lovelock, seven troughs and jungo rd.
i may not live there, but i've spent alot of time traveling in and around the area, as well as a brief stay (60 days in the pokey) in lovelock.
i met alot of people there (lovelock) as well as indians from the res....the piautes are great. The sheriff, ron skinner is one of the most decent men i've ever come across, as well as lt. bjerke.
i love the whole area.
i think you dont know me at all, goat-head, not at all. I dont look down on you and your ways, i admire them.
sorry you think otherwise.

The "GURU RD." Just set me off...
In the process of snarking at the BRAF also...
I drive up and down hwy 447 endlessly.
I see spots where some FANTASTIC art could be.
In Nevada we have the UFO highway?
What about an art Highway where you might actually SEE something????
While some people are worried about the Empire Store.
USG dropped down to TWO days week for a bit.
They have another contract and are back to 4 days a weeks but? for how long?
BM has done some good things here.
This area needs year long things though.
Ohhh, the scotch is really good though.
HWY 447 AMERICA'S ART HWY....
FROM Wadsworth to.Cedardville
That is my dream.

I'm not sure if you're implying that Burning Man owes it to your area to provide year-round art... ?
If there's gonna be an "America's Art Highway" I doubt it'll be out there where almost no one will see it. Wouldn't make sense, economically or philosophically. You go out there because you want to find lots of nothing.

Naaa, fuck off.
Burn the fucking art.
I am thinking art for the sake of art.
It would piss some people off.
But I can see some lone vista's where the "colossus" would be incredible. Or the Barbwire buffalo.
But then when has ART had to make any sense economically or philosophically.... If that was the criteria, why fucking bother....?????
Yep,
BURN THE FUCKING SHIT ....
Why bother....
Hell if "economically or philosophically." are REALLY the criteria,,,,,
Why in the FUCK are you coming OUT HERE???

There's always the Enchanted Highway in South Dakota. I've seen some of the sculptures from the Interstate. Way cool.
