revisiting the loose stack of cassette tapes on the bookshelf... blew some dust off those for certain. John Fogarty Centerfield at the moment.

flipside Blue Moon Swamp Oh singing praises to Maxell and TDK for 90 minute blank tapes... bought in multiple packs, and kept ready for records and cd's when cd's were too damn expensive to buy new. er I mean, for when a "format change" of my personally purchased copyrighted materials was desired. I have a pile of unmarked, or out of box cassettes to sort through and see what is on them, or find out if they are still blank. It's a good day for old music, and I've scrubbed the kitchen floor, now think I'll tackle the fridge.

Adios Muchachos as an accordion duet. The two accordions without any other instrument (maybe there's a drum) leaves the music too "sweet" and without enough contrast. It's bearable on the ipod, but I don't think that album should be in heavy rotation.

I need to remember to load a flash drive with my klezmer & klezmer-ish for when we meet up.

There might be duplicates, but can you really ever have enough klezmer?

Volga Boat Man--Red Army Chorus.

Again.

It's in heavy rotation on my ipod. I have a new recording of it--I wonder if it's going to differ....

I named the sister of our cat "Red Army Choir" when we got her, but we called her "Redarmy". That is we called her that until the day she got loose in our building and we ran up and down the stairs chasing her calling her name. Lets just say the neighbors were confused. The Hubby renamed her Lulu, and that she stayed until she passed away a few years ago.

Her sister is still with us, and is still named Nadezhda Krupskaya after Lenin's wife. We call her Desi (or Dezhi if we want to be all technical)
