There is nothing original anymore, or so it seems.

From someone handing you poloriods that they took of you,
someone trying to have a fountain in thier camp,
to someone trying to stick pickles in your mouth,
and people making boats into artcars
and everything in -between.

IT"S ALL BEEN DONE !!!

WHERE IS THE ORINALITY THESE DAYS ???

If you know of anything "new" going on,
please post it here, because I am starting to get the grizzles.

It would be nice to see the originality on the playa and not just talked about here in the forum. I heard last year was same old, same old.

But there's already been a Mormon Temple on the playa, complete with Angel Moronic in chaps and temple garments as costumes. Other theme camps have included Planet Kolob and Behind the Zion Curtain. This year there are plans for a placed Utah Village. Utah hatches a lot of burners.

I loved inviting the mormon boys into my house.

In Seattle, after I told them that I celebrate yearly at a ritual in the desert where we get naked and celebrate the pleasures of the flesh for a week and then burn a wiccan man at the end of the gathering to show our love to our god Larry, they would go across the street before passing my house on the block.

And there were no houses across the street.

I don't know what scared them away..... maybe it was the skull collection in the living room ???

but.....all this talk about Mormons is a bit of a thread drift, but they also are lacking in O R I G I N A L I T Y.

They can't even come up with thier own God or Messiah

The boat "art car" idea has been done many times... nearly always nothing but a boat on top of a car, not scratch-built. Is YOUR art car just a decorated car and not a full-custom vehicle? Man, that's even LESS original, even if it's supposed to look like something different!
The playa hasn't seen something that looks like a dick before... right? Or a fire cannon... oh wait, those are two of the most over-used ideas out there!

Yeah, Capt Goddammit, but like your boat, mine has more history than thiers does, plus it is a water cannon by day, and I have the only one of those out there as far as I know(believe me, I would love to have a challenging waterfight)

Participatory function trumps form, in my MVs case....also, it is the largest single flamethrower on an MV out there, and when it comes to flamethrowing dicks, size definately matters.

Oh, and since 2003, I am quite sure that boats have been the most commonly overused artcar out there, although yours is way classier than thiers usually are.
I haven't seen any boats completely covered in ties, though.
(just a thought)
