Burn recession proof

Post by Lifeisshort » Fri Jul 24, 2009 8:12 pm

Do you think ticket sales are down this year? Considering the ecomony and after BMorg reintroduced ticket sales at the gate, I can't help but think people maybe skipping the burn this year????? Lets be honest, it is not an inexpensive event to attend, especially if you come from across the country or aboard.

$360 at the gate. Wowee...

This is the part where I feel super happy that I bought mine in January.

We will see.

Looks like slow sales at the box office with less than 36K tickets sold. Add to that ~ 8K of low-income, scolarship, conclave etc. tickets ...

We might make low - mid forties this year.

I'm not going this year but it isn't for lack of wherewithal. Just too busy with work and nobody to watch the kids; I am a single dad.

Next year at Black Rock.

In fact, I bought 4 tickets when they went on sale at the holidays. Two memebers of our group are not going this year because of financial considerations.

Does anyone know how I can sell the remaining two tickets ??????????????????????

I think that when times get tough the need to party is more pressing.
