Best Address in BRC

Post by Wind_Borne » Sat Aug 15, 2009 9:01 pm

OK, Do you like the action of the Esplanade, or the quiet and space of the outer rim? Is one neighborhood most congenial? Does one part of the city get less dust than the rest of town? Let's hear your opinion on the best address in BRC.

Little-known secret:

OK I just deleted everything I wrote. There IS a strategic part of town that escapes about half of the dust storms that the rest of the city gets, but I'm not tellin'! If you meet me in person I'll tell you where it is and why it works.

Obviously you have no doubts that your favorite spot is truly exceptional.

OK, then, What's the worst spot?

I can tell you the worst seat on a crowded airplane... on the aisle, in front of the bathrooms. Everyone walking by leans on your seat and then stands next to you chatting up the attendants.

Damn Cap, you're given away to much already!

We need people to camp in the worst place because they filter out the dust like downwind from the entrance road and a line directly to center camp to the Larry's trailer and then the Man.

I've camped in Disturbia, and Hushville. At 8:30 and Espanade, and at 4:30 five streets back. I have never camped on the very edge of the city or the Walk-In area. I can't say I have a favorite spot, each one came with a unique set of people and experiences. And changing locations has helped to distinguish the Burns I have attended.

Now this year I'm with a bunch of people who want to camp in the same old spot we have camped for 3 years. And I'm trying to get them to change it up.

This will be my 7th Burn- last year I camped for my first time with a theme camp on the 3:00 side of the Playa- I have to say that the 3:00 side seems to have a lot more people- and alot more children- for these reasons and a few more LOL I'll be back to camping on my orginal side - the 9:00 side! GO LEFT NOT RIGHT!

Yeah, it's an interesting notion: drive hundreds of miles to BRC, then park your car along the fence and drag your gear a few hundred feet into the desert. Ahh... the Wilderness!
