Plz help...
Plz help...
I needed a ticket for Burning Man so I went and got one myself...and then I needed a ride, so I went and found one myself, and I need stuff for my camp, and food, and I got it all by myself...I used the power of the internet and radical self-reliance, and now I am all set to go to Burning Man...

Ugh, quite the opposite...!!! I have yet to start packing...decorate my bike...drive to Atlanta...ride a bus for three days...littleflower wrote:do you need help making this next week go faster?
I was just tired of all needy posts, asking for stuff people could easily do with just a few minutes and google.
SWEET! I never win ANYthing!!pinemom wrote:C.F.M.
You win the Virgin of the year award...no really!
Lots of fun participation on this board...and you DID IT! YOU did it yourself!!!!
See ya at brc!
My veteran friend (and BM employee) said I was the most prepared virgin ever, too. I honestly feel like I've been there...so many of my real-life friends are helpful veterans (like Tess, who camped in Hushville last year, she of the megapink hair), regional contacts, etc.
While I'm thinking about it, if anyone is interested in putting faces with internet , here are several ways to identify me.

Tess is a dear friend of mine. We don't get much face time in RL, but she's family at heart.C.f.M. wrote:SWEET! I never win ANYthing!!pinemom wrote:C.F.M.

Lol C.f.M. I too am tired of the needy virgin posts, but there is something complelling about those threads. Kind of like slowing down to look at a car crash on the side of the road ("I bet they weren't wearing their seatbelts.") and wondering if you have the opportunity to mention "seatbelts, dickhead" once more before the next guy heads off down the road. You said it well, "I needed it, and I got it myself."

I think I'm going to call it Veteran Virgin Syndrome, or VVS, for short.
We need more syndromes that are actually good.
The only annoying thing about VVS is that your friends who have actually been there will start asking you, "Hey - you remember that thing at Burning Man, right? Wasn't that awesome?!"
And then you get to say... "No. I wasn't there yet."
This has honestly happened to me twice, irl.

Ha! VVS. That sound dirty. Which means I like it.Generic Anonymity wrote:I think I'm going to call it Veteran Virgin Syndrome, or VVS, for short.

It is funny, I know the lingo, the antonyms, many in jokes and references...like seeing clips of a movie until you're convinced you've seen it.
I was thinking...the big difference between this and the burns I'm used to: I'm leaving the South! I will have an ACCENT. Like I don't stick out enough already, what with my huge cock and Ranger hat.

Names pinemom, but my friends call me "Piney".
I'll just reply, "What's BM?"
Here's the laugh of the day, as I am having second thoughts about going.
