Another story in the "Fishy is so Out of It" genre...
I met Primus in the 80s when they weren't anybody. They were putting up posters for a show at Berkeley Square. (Not in London.) They invited me to see them play that night, and I didn't go. I could have been in on the ground floor.
Oh well.

Yes...that would have to be the late 80's...I saw them in Seattle in 89 at a lttle teency place called the Offramp, there weren't even 100 people in the building.
Now I have become something of a follower, to say the least.

Sigh, if only Jim Morrison was still around..........
Floyd, Rush, Zep. The Nuge (appropriate as I'm gearing up for hunting) All would be great acts.
Slim Cessena's Auto Club? They could show us how they do things in the country.

Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

I wish I knew how to post a link to Electric Apricot's song called "Burning Man". (someone help me) Awesome tune that I play while sitting at my desk when I'm having a bad day.
The BEST concert I have ever been to in my life was Roger Waters, Dark Side of the Moon. It was an outdoor venue, and we had a full moon that night. Just as they played Dark Side of the Moon, the moon came up over the roof. Holy shit--what an amazing time. That's my vote!

Here you go, great movie, but once again, this is Les Claypool, and this band is about as real as Spinal Tap.Shambala wrote:I wish I knew how to post a link to Electric Apricot's song called "Burning Man". (someone help me) !

Agree with Sputnik and TITWI. I've already had the best experience I could imagine really. This year Joan Baez was singing in the wee hours of the morning while we sat around the embers of the Temple. When she sang Leonard Cohen's Hallelujiah, I remember thinking nothing else could ever top this experience.thisisthatwhichis wrote:Yea, it would be kewl, but could you imagine one or some of the greats sittin around in a small circle jammin accoustically.... For a long time it was Brave Combo for me. I thought that they'd have a good time wandering around and jamming. I thought that Carl Finch's philosophy of polka would work real well at the burn. Now I don't have any. And I do "get" that nobody who doesn't get there on his own momentum should go. I guess I thought of it as a gift ticket for my favorite band.
