If Trump were to get a pardon, and a little later the House (or Senate) legitimately needed to investigate something, then couldn't he be subpoenaed to testify, and wouldn't he at that point not be able to plead the 5th and instead be required by law to attend and testify under oath, and tell the truth under penalty of perjury?

1. We'll start off with the basics, since I'm not a lawyer, lol. He'd need to resign and have Pence pardon him. There's no way for a president to pardon himself.
2. As a then non-president and ordinary citizen (though I still bristle at this treatment of the president as a separate class), of course he could be subpoenaed.
3. If he were charged in the case, then of course he could plead the 5th, as we all have that right, and no US court could compel him to do so.

Trump doesn't want to produce his DNA for analysis, which is sought in the case of the lawsuit over the rape allegation.
If he was guilty of the rape, his DNA would show that.
If he's innocent of the rape, it would clear him.
So why doesn't he want to provide his DNA?
Since he insists he's innocent, there must be another reason...

Maybe he's concerned that his DNA would show that his actual Daddy wasn't Fred Trump.
