ART!
Out of all the threads that are on Eplaya, there is no ART thread. There are threads about art cars, writers, diverse art, artistic music, art sculptures, the art of engineering, the art of programming, the art of noise, the art of jokes, Architects, digital artists, digital photo artists, costume artists, makeup artists, …….
...........no art thread.
Any art from artists to contribute to Eplaya? After all, is Burningman about art and it’s artists?
what's your favorite link from Eplaya might I ask. ( if it's ok? )
Is it ok to have an art thread?
Just thought there should be one here.

Art
Musings; Art, the fantastic artworks of man, technical achievements in architecture, set in a Vacation city in Nevada, where tens of thousands of people come to visit, mostly from California, but also from around the world. Heat, dust, wind storms. Playful attempts at "sin", brothels, pleasures of the fleash, all set in a large valley between dry hills.. Las Vegas? Black Rock City? How interesting the parallels. Black Rock City needs buffets and rollercoasters I think...

What do you like best: art that fits the current year's "theme" better or art that just is? Passive or Active? High-tech or old-fashioned?
I prefer art that just is, without a pre-fabbed interpretation. I also prefer active art (art that you interact with physically somehow) and art that is "high-tech".
example: last year's "Mono Lisa LED thingy" that one had to move their head at the correct scan rate in order to see.
How about you? regards, Jafe

This, in case you were wondering, is not a pipe. It's a pixel representation of a jpeg file of a picture of a painting of a...well, you get it. Not really related, but this is one of my favorite pieces of art. I've had it tattooed on my arm. The following exchange occurs with unnerving (though amusing) frequency (usually verbatim).
"You have a pipe tattooed on your arm?"
"No."
"That's not a tattoo?"
"This is not a pipe."
"Huh? What is it then?"
"That's the treachery of images."
"Huh?"
Heh, heh. Le Trahison Des Images....
