My brother Joey and I recently sent in our submission for the Alien World Project for 2004 Burning Man (Theme, Heavens Vault). The Idea was to create an alien world landscape as a back drop for one of the 10 stages that surround The Man. 10 artist submissions would be accepted; unfortunately this would not be one of the chosen few. The image on top would have been the wall which would cover an area of 8’x 20’, the image below, obviously the sky, would have covered about 150 sq’ The technique Joey I used was to take the Seven Atmospheres paintings,(look in gallery) Brought them in photo shop and preceded to manipulate them.

Just thought I would show you all what you might have seen.

Bluebunnybee and the Adventure of Somewhere Swam. A kid’s book I recently finished. The main characters Swam and Bluebunnybee stop off in the Disareapering city, a land inspired by Burning Man. Somewhere Swam was born with 97% of his spirit on the out side of his body. His Spirit likes to go by the name of Bluebunnybee, Bluebunnybee can change form by the power of Swam imagination.

Thought I share them with you all, Being Burning Man related and stuff.

Seven Atmospheres Octagon, at a show in Portland
Oregon I also incorporated the Octagon with my Military
Instillation steel sculpture series. If you want to see the
sculptures you can check them out on my web in the
gallery under military instillation. It’s taken me about
four year to get the octagon to this point. That includes
Cellardoor, my step van, she carries it around.
Burning Man was the inspiration for the octagon, but I
started off by making a couple of the 4’x8’ paintings using
them as back drops at parties. When I made the decision to
go to Burning Man in (2001) I new I would need a shade
structure, so I thought about what I would do. Then the
Octagon just kind of popped into head. One thing I am very
thankful for is that Burning Man help change me from a two
dimensional painter, illustrator into 3d,
sculptural instillationest, performance artist. Burning Man and
the Octagon has pushed
me into learning the art of welding, lighting, prop structures
and ambient sound. Thanks All you All for opening my mind
that much more. Art is a shared collaborative experience. Thanks.

Spring 2002, that’s it, so far. I had trouble coming up with the money, full time work and school. Fucking ripped my hair out. Maybe in the future? My friend Alan Ness went there the same you did. Oh Ya, like the beats (cat5) .

Thanks. Yeah, that is one expensive institution. I am in a whole lot of debt because of it. But it also helped me to make valuable connections and friends that I still ahve to this day. If you like the beats we are playing a kickass party next saturday in west oakland, with a stellar lineup (Tino Corp, Kid 606, Mochipet, Jonah Sharp, Catfive, and freaky chakra vs. single cell orchestra) with visuals by dimension 7. I'm not quite sure what you mean. They are all the same pic in different colors. the four in the middle that are black and white, two are just the negative image of all of the others.

The color shots are beautiful but the 4 images in the center have an almost ethereal quality to them. I can see what CowboyAngel was talking about, it's kinda like a transparency effect when you look at it closely. In any event it's a stunning piece of work.
