My Playa Gift

Well, it's not my only playa gift, but the biggest one. I was talking with the other co-regional contacts in San Diego and brainstormed a great idea.

I created a directory of San Diego Burners going to the playa this year. I accepted input through e-mail and Facebook, compiling all of the information in a database. The information I collected consisted of: Playa Name, Camp Name, Camp Address, and e-mail. I just now sent out the e-mail to all those who wanted a copy. The database contained over 150 entries. It's formatted to print nicely, ready to stuff into a backpack.

The e-mails were sent using all BCC, so no one saw everyone's e-mail address. The file types were: PDF, XSL (Microsoft Excel), HTML, and XPS (Microsoft Image viewer). The directory does not include e-mail addresses.

I was not expecting such a large response for it. A bunch of people wanted a copy, even if they weren't listed in the directory. I'm actually really relieved that it's over...
