I almost posted my favourite Damned song (and Joy Division, and Bauhaus, and Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Slits, the Cure, early Go-Gos, post-punk, no wave, onandonetccetc), but generally they're not thought of as "punk." Those of us who are awful people and will argue about such things know better, and also would denote Lunachicks are some bad-ass rock-and-roll - grant "punk ROCK," but somehow they never became associated with riot grrl - but I was generally trying to post some out-and-out punk besides the well-known.theCryptofishist wrote:I saw you over in the metal camp thread. That deliciously muddy time in the 70s/80s when it wasn't all split up is where all of my favourite bands come from.
FEAR played the club I used to work at, and having beer while they sang "More Beer" was pretty great.

the pride of my small vinyl collection is Sid Vicious solo album original < and probably only > pressing.....so bad it's good.....
i loved all that shit from the california sucidal tendencys/ agent orange to the east coast GWAR ... throw in some Agnostic Front Oi Oi Oi
i loved The Cramps,,, had no idea how cool they really were until i looked them back up when the lead singer died,,,, Rev horton heat may be pushing the punk boundries but rocks non the less
,,,,, may have never owned any tapes of soixsie/ smiths/ bauhaus/ oingo boingo but every girl i wanted to hang out with did which means i have spent hours listening
