Picture hosting? Where in cyberspace shall I send this?
Ok, I feel kinda stooopid to not know, but who should I use for pic hosting to post stuff here. I used to use photobucket, but mainly use my iPhone. Don't take the time to sit down at regular computer. Fine you say? Well lately photobuckets site won't let me copy and paste on iPhone. I don't know much about this world, so maybe some you geeks can get joy out of proving what you know. Which site should I try to host some photographs?! Flickr? Chatroulette? Fingerpuppets.com? Come on some useful suggestions here ;o
I know enough to know I don't know shit. I just wish more people knew that much.

Ha ha ha! I just randomly spit out fingerpuppets.com, having no idea. So then I went to it, and it's awesome! Kids finger puppets! Plus plans to make your own! Some sparkle camel riders should have fingerpuppets with blinky flashy lights!
But they don't host pics.

When you post a reply, if you look below the text box, there are two tabs. One says "Options" and the other says "Upload attachment".
The new ePlaya allows you to upload directly from your file.

Another option is if you have a (free) tumblr blog account. I have a blog for our camp's progress, and post various images (and other junk) that's related to our projects. It's publicly accessible, so I copy the image address on uploaded images, and they work without any issue on this (or any other site that uses bbcode).

I don't know about iphone, but I know with my "not-smart but not stupid" phone I can send my pictures to an email address generated by photobucket.Ratpick wrote:Ok, I feel kinda stooopid to not know, but who should I use for pic hosting to post stuff here. I set up one of my contacts as this totally random weird [email protected] generated by photobucket, then I just text my pics to that email and it automatically uploads them to my photobucket. But you will have to go to photobucket and go to the upload options and see what they offer.
So thats how people have been putting the "attachment" note things on their posts! TrishnTek thanks for the info!trishntek wrote: When you post a reply, if you look below the text box, there are two tabs. One says "Options" and the other says "Upload attachment".

Thanks trilobyte. I'll check out tumblr.
I can upload pics to photobucket and look at them no problem, but to post on here one needs to copy and paste img link to it, and for some reason iPhone now doesn't recognize that line on their site as something that can be copied. And I don't think can upload directly as attachment like on a computer. Let's try...

No that does not work from iPhone. Not quite a computer. I went on Saturday and forgot it at home. It was great. I didn't even know what time it was. Can't wait to go to black rock city and just be lost and float around.

I must live in the stone age. I know nothing about all this stuff about using your phone to post photos to eplaya from your phone. I have an android.
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

Well, don't think I'll be sharing pics on forums anymore. I started on tumblr and it's easy enough to upload pics but can't figure out how to share them. Can't figure out much of anything on it and doesn't have a "?" with instructions for dummies. Oh well.

Let's try this...

Ok so picgarage app works, but will have to resize before uploading if I want to put them here. Lot of freaking hassle. Check out my swamp cooler! It's almost functional!

OOOO, I see what your saying now.Ratpick wrote:I can upload pics to photobucket and look at them no problem, but to post on here one needs to copy and paste img link to it, and for some reason iPhone now doesn't recognize that line on their site as something that can be copied. My bad I totally misunderstood the copy/past part. Yeah, that wouldn't really work. Trying to retype that img Url would be a pain in the ass!
