Take time to decompress and relax. Rumors come and go,,, but if you get in line when the tickets go on sale they won't be an issue.

As-far-as the theme goes, whatever it will be does not have an affect on whether the event will take place. I can almost guarantee you there will be an eventful gathering in the Black Rock Desert the last week of August 2012 whether tickets are sold or a theme is established.

Yeah, don't sweat either the theme (he says, while chomping at the bit waiting for an announcement) or the ticket on-sale date. Make sure you've got monies ready to spend in January and you're good to go whenever the tickets go on sale. And 90% of the art doesn't really have anything specific to do with the theme anyway. If you're contemplating some phantasmagorically awesome thing for next year, just do it! You can cook up a fun way to tie it into the theme later, if you like

I'm holding off on my furlough day selections until the ticket date comes out and the minimal agitation that causes is only from not having the paperwork out of the way and all my furlough days in the calendar. I know it makes more sense to leave one furlough day unused but ticket day is the furlough day epicenter and it is a bit early for Mancation and Govy dates to be set.... I'm intrigued by the wait and my own and others minor concern/hysteria to the lack of developments with the theme and sale date. I'll be on playa event or no event and with or without ticket.
