Lost eplayans
Oh lovely chickenfish, where have you gone?
Did our talk of culinary delight frighten you away?
Can you hear me, chickenfish?

Aha! I'm back! I was hibernating at the south pole, storing up grease fat for my long trek out to the Block Rack Dessert. MMMMMM with cherries on top.

Bambi is often nocturnal. Usually, anyways. Sensei has spotted him many times after 11 or so... But he has been known to suddenly disappear, only to reappear when you've done something embarrassing.Rian Jackson wrote:... saw Bambi eating twigs over on some other thread yesterday. I miss him, too. And i wish Lydia would come back. She seemed pretty freakin' stellar in person. AT LEAST as great as she is on the boards.
And Lydia... What a fireball that woman is. Now, there is someone I don't want angry at me, at any time, for any reason. But here's the thing: she's a hugger. Big-time hugger.
I was not here. I did not say this.

well, had you been where you should have been last Monday instead of beating off, you would have seen her again.Sensei wrote:Bambi is often nocturnal. Usually, anyways. are you suggesting that we're meant to be getting things done right now?Stormy wrote:Agreed many are missed here. I'm assuming that people are getting down to the wire with getting tasks completed.

Hooray, Lydia, you lurker!
Unfortunately, i have only recently gotten to meet Revvy, so it's been more LL fun than deep serious conversations. But i have to say, i'm happy to see him every time. Damn, i get all mushy when i think about our locals here. *Sigh*
Lydia, aren't you guys over on the other side of town from the Seattle Ghetto? You must come visit. If it helps, Revvy is my neighbor, just across Mercury!

the elusive songs of the thwart throated chickenfish
Rian
I would love to hear your version of the chickenfish song! I will be spinning music at some point at Ksvert, 9:30 and esplanade, perchance if you walk on by you would like to play your fiddle and sing the chickenfish song on the radio for all to hear! Or put it on a CD and leave it with skid at the station where I can pick it up and play it for people. No pressure here, I m intrigued by the life of the chickenfish song, which seems to have its own aura of enchantment. (you see I didn't write the song, but I merely appropiated it after synchronously finding a website dedicated to the chickenfish on which someone kind soul had posted those haunting lyrics. It has since become the mostly widely coverd song in the galaxy, second only to "Light my Fire".
cheerio and ta ta for now

Yeah, I'm way the fuck away but I intend to be coming over to that neck of the woods often.
It cracks me up. Every year I've camped somewhere around 9:30 and never got to spend time with the people I'm camping with *this* year.
Now I'm all sad that I'm so far away from all these new Seattle peeps I've started to meet. Ya can't win, I tell you!
There are a fair number of people in the Seattle ghetto I intend to come and get grabby with (watch yer asses!). It's my first year as a single girl and I think that gives me some special dispensations for my behavior, don't you?

I've been so solitary lately . Y'all almost made me cry wondering where I've been. Hell I don't even know where I've been , but you certainly can rely on Sensei's info. I'm just spending more time on some group projects and concentrating on my solitary drive up there. I'm looking forward to the adventure. Knowing you all are at the other end makes it so easy. I leave thurs about 4am. I'm planning on avoiding the desert heat and getting out of LA before the morn. rush hour.

how are 3playa and altplaya these days? my logins failed when i got back in the country (or more likely i forgot them) so i let it be.
i figure that the 3playans and such are most of the lurkers here. we know you're out there... but it's always good when you all poke your heads out and post. it reminds me of my first days on the eplaya.... before it got updated and went to hell.....
bambi, welcome back!
bucket, wenak ilyoom? ana hon, ana hon, ta'al sadiqi!

Rian , I'm at the point where I 'm trying to figure out how I'm going to pack all this shit in a small truck and then start my journey north. I head out on thurs. 4am. this is the first year I'm doing this on my own ,and it is fucking emotional. So I'm spinning just a little bit,but looking forward to the journey. 15 hr drive with stops and rests along the way. Its what is at the other end that keeps me sane.

but alas, i am here... so i may as well do the next best thing and toodle around here. keeps me from stressing too much about everything i need to accomplish.
oh, and Ivy - being selfish ain't always bad.
all hail the sippy cup
hey speaking of playa items that may reach cult status, how 'bout those holey soles?
last night at the Lower Level (after Sensei pissed off too early to see anyone) people we starting to realise that we'd be on the playa in a week. The best part must'a been dancing on the glitterati with the cars in the streeet honking and the restaurant patrons flashing us in our newly swapped playa wear.
