hmm... what could possibly be "very high energy and time consuming, of acrobatic and/or extreme-sports nature"?

Re: 2012 Ticket Scorekeeping Thread
It's both killing me and cracking me up to see so many threads where the OP lists contact information, and then some asshat posts a reply with their contact information and a message to call them. Sure some may be covering all the bases and doing that in addition to calling/writing, but most of these threads don't look like that's happening… wtf people, make the connection!

For the last few days we've actually been in an unusual place, where we're now getting more spam posted by ticket sellers than we are by spambots. Fuckos!

It's amazing how many people now want you to buy their tickets, in the spirit of the Burn.
Used to be only people wanting to buy tickets, in the spirit of the Burn.

Anyway, my ex wife found out I was going to burning man (probably through my fb page) and contacted child services b/c I haven't been able to pay child support. They took me to court today and it didn't go good. At 1st the judge seemed cool (she remembered me from b 4) and she asked me about BM, my costume (just a cape and sometimes underwear - ex printed pics off fb) seemed like things were going good then she said "well BATMAN, why is BM more important than child support?"
I tried to explain but she was getting pissed. Then she asked me how I was going to get to bm and how I got to court. Like a buffoon I said I drove and she said how did you do that b/c you license is revoked? (Awkward moment) Anyhow, I have been ORDERED to sell my ticket and appear in court with the $390 on 8-27-12 - THAT REALLY SCREWS MY PLANS UP!
I have a step tik and I need to sell it any ideas??
You posted you were going to BM on Facebook and didn't expect your ex to find out you spent the child support on BM tix? Man that's just plain dumb. (Eric I will not say anything else). Better find $390 in your sofa pretty quick.

"SELLING BURNING MAN TICKET, TRADE 4 UPRIGHT PIANO, OR NEED A BM RIDE!
1. Hi, I'd like to sell my Burning Man Ticket, trade it for an upright piano, or I need a Burning Man ride, preferably if u can let me join your vegetarian/vegan camp, I've always wanted to do that. I'd like to stay in an RV too with air conditioner bc I'm sensitive to hot and cold weather.
2. OR, I've always wanted to learn piano.........."
Tickets are out there.....

Re: 2012 Ticket Scorekeeping Thread
For fuck's sakes… so much spam in the ticket boards! There are also some really shady/shifty listings out there.
Then there's just dumb. Here's one guy who's taking the approach of making it seem like all other tickets are fraudulent, which for some reason makes me more suspicious of what he/she is trying to sell…

Re: 2012 Ticket Scorekeeping Thread
And the shit just got even shiftier - I quarantined a string of new user ticket posts, all with dodgy wording and coming from IP's in countries that usually only try and tell us about ugg boots and monclers and pills from canada and whatnot. I PM'd them all, and if they check out I'll restore them.

So now inanimate objects have dreams of "going home"? Musn't disappoint all the fake fur coat "lost souls" destined to be in the dust "hot dry sand of the playa," or their feelings will be hurt.

Re: 2012 Ticket Scorekeeping Thread
A hat trick, maybe?
Asking for two tickets, while simultaneously judging anyone else given a ticket.
viewtopic.php?f=292&t=59208
And of course, in reno, so the inverse law of difficulty to self righteousness applies too.
Hard to top that.
