Architect Hernandez Silva had some fun when utilising an old mine elevator shaft into the refit in this penthouse bathroom in Guadalajara, Mexico. Why hide such an intriguing feature when you can turn it into a glass floored WC that is sure to challenge the nerve of all those brave enough to use the facility.
Silva says: “A characteristic feature of the project is that a volume that was originally intended for a second elevator and was never installed becomes a powder room with a glass floor that looks down all the 15 levels, the PPDG penthouse is a great versatile modulated space, with great views all this with the concepts of transparency and the simplicity of materials.

Aside from the nefarious beginnings, they have a long history of spin and bs that never quite sat right with me. I no longer even mess with the third party viewers, but spend most of my time with one of the various flavors of the official viewer. If you're on a windows or linux box, you may need to check to make sure you're on the current/latest video drivers - if you're on a Mac, PM me with the details of what you're experiencing and I'll see what I can do.

ah, thanks GD, yay for auto coffee!
the drink, Savannah, sounds so interesting. I do stuff like that, also when cooking sometimes, just throw stuff at a pan. Are you sure we're not related? If there was a side by side photo of us, I bet there'd be a family resemblance of some sort.
