I am packed...it is all inside. A virtual triumph, as I have learned what to take and what not to. I have extra room, and the load is very manageable. I leave in 18 hours, 3,000 miles to sit through. Since I have no "mutant" vehicle, I only need to bring the needed things and 120 pounds of BACON!

Here's the easy, fast way: Boil the eggs, dunk in cold water... then take an egg and poke a little hole in the small end, smack the big end on the counter, then blow through the little hole. Hold your other hand behind the egg, you'll instantly have a peeled egg in one hand, the shell in the other.

You can do a zillion eggs in no time like this! It works great or not depending on how you boil them; sometimes if you don't get the right boil/cooldown the shells stick to the eggs too much.

That's a really interesting way to peel an egg, Captain. I kinda want to try it but slightly expect to end out with an egg covered kitchen...

We will definitely try this tomorrow night at Lucky420's house. 8)

This is probably why she's making me do all my cooking outside.

You'd have to come to one of my regionals, that I'm the Ranger team lead for. 8) Mentors/training in BRC is very specialized and specific, only a handful of Rangers are Mentors! Good luck!

I'll be in Reno Thursday night! ...well, hopefully. :|

...though I hate boiling eggs. Make sure they're room temp, when you start. Made enough deviled eggs in my life to now buy them pre-boiled and shelled, when I can. They're not as good, but lord almighty, a time saver.

Now, I am going to return to not freaking out because I have no idea if I have a ticket or not.

No. No I am not.

Swizzle Sticks is a Toronto & Trinidad based stilt performance group. None of us are able to get to BRC this year, sadly. Are you hosting a Samba/Stilt camp? at what address so I could direct other stilt dancers. . .?

Ticket(s), Pillow, Ticket(s). If you have those you'll live. And a Pillow is just a creature comfort (That I ALWAYS forget)

I forget a pillow 3 out of 4 times. I get by with a scrunched up fleece jacket, but a pillow, a real bed size pillow is just so nice.
Thanks for mentioning it.

Ha! I have pillows in Fernley, and Target sells decent ones for $4 each. So, yeah, pillows. 8)

I am leaving for the airport in 2.5 hours. Everything is packed in 3 bags. Planning to hit the ground running in Reno tomorrow to shop and cook and shop... and head out with a big caravan on Thursday.

So excited!!!!!

So: now I must instantly sleep. 8)
