Hey, y'all. :)

I'm having a serious case of post-playa blues. My bedroom is an absolute mess; there is dusty dirty crap all over the place and I can't seem to motivate myself to do any sort of cleaning. My cat sitter just came unannounced over to my place and reamed me out, accusing me of trying to duck out of paying her. I have not by any means been attempting to do that; I just haven't been attending to any sort of responsibilities over the past week because I'm so down. She refused to take a check and made me walk over to an ATM with her to take out cash. Welcome to the default world!

I met Trilo, Elliot, geospyder, and knowmad; it was such a joy to talk to all of them. I wish I had met more of you! I got very very drunk at my camp's prom party and didn't make it to the meet and greet. :(

I loved it there. It was a motherfucking blast. All of the wonderful people, art, lights, dancing, temple crying; it was beautiful. I'll definitely be back. Hope all of you are well and had as wonderful a time as I did.

Ooooo! And I got to meet Littlebird in person! You seemed so shy I didn't know what to say either. You are Good People, young lady!

Now.... Life seems to be returning to regular default world standards around here. Last night, my recent-immigrant neighbors across the street had friends over, with many children (and not much money). I wound up gifting them three bicycles -- after hurriedly fixing the bikes up to usable standard. These were bikes that were gifted to Elliot's Bike Service on Playa less than a week ago. The fixing took longer than normal, as I had one hand tied up eating yummy scratch-made Mexican food. Life can be OK in the Default World also!

PS -- after seeing Littlebird's latest post:
Littlebird, keep using The Bar #4 -- and PMs if you wish -- for Post Playa Support. We all need it.
In closing, I believe that Carthage must b... an 11th Principle must be enacted: Radical Responsibility.

This is normal. Maybe in a few weeks you should send the cat sitter a thank you and apology card. Honest, heartfelt, appreciative... And next year, pay her in advance!

That's good advice, Fishy. I will take it!

Elliot, thank you so much for the beer and for the use of your bike; I'm sorry someone decided to swipe it at the end of the week. :? I didn't realize I came across as shy! I think I'm just not used to talking to naked people outside of the bedroom. that's definitely something I'll need to get over if I plan on continuing to return to the playa, which I most certainly do. I truly enjoyed meeting you; you're such a nice man.

jeez...you ain't alone littlebird. Still looking at dirty coolers and the truck hasn't been washed. But Elliot might have the right idea, jumping into something else with passion; fixing bikes for the kids. Yeah, it ain't unusual. What a day out, maybe I'll drag the hose out... Beautiful day. What a day to have a birthday on. May the candles on your cake burn like cities in your wake, FIGJAM. Got the parts for a cooler this year but was too busy buying beer to ever put it together. Priorities. Next year! That's when I'm gonna get it all together and do it right. As for now, gonna grab a left over PBR and sponge. In a few weeks I'm thinkin' I'm gonna have to send all of you a thank you and apology card.

Of course, I'm down to 185 pounds and beginning to look like a Greek God.
Definitely 175 with decent abs and better shoulder-muscles next year. Don't know what I can do about my aging butt, but at least I brought it somewhat pre-tanned, to avoid blinding people with chalk-white glare. :P

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

Yeah, I'm wasting time as well. Unloaded the car, and did essential laundry, but little else. Now I need my phone charger, so I have to dig a bit more. *I'm goin' in.*

Ok, if we're going to be truthful about it all, my mudslide consists of 3 large icecubes in a medium sized glass with some baileys, chocolate milk and regular milk.

It was the best I could do with what I had in the house...

...but is still infinitely better than the watered-down vodka in watered-down orange juice in an even smaller glass with 3 overflowing icecubes that I cried into all yesterday.

Trying to recreate shit is NOT easy without the proper tools.

Next year I pocket a handful of those little Sands straws to complete the picture.
Worry is a misuse of imagination

She had blue skin, And so did he.
He kept it hid And so did she.
They searched for blue Their whole life through,
Then passed right by- And never knew.”

Yea, me too... Finally got around to emptying the van. My sister was surprised at the 'smell' of the playa dust. :) I told her, smells like 'home'!
Now, a bunch of laundry to do, and finish the van... tomorrow.
