Good luck and happiness, Knowmad.

Knowmad, I don't think that JK meant anything bad. It appears to be the same left handed humor that gets me in trouble on a daily basis.
By the way knowmad, you're my hero!

Yeah real funny joke.jkisha wrote: And go fuck yourself if you can't take a joke. Maybe you should think twice about what you're doing.
ha ha! you are a riot.
In fact you are one of the funniest guys out there.
Now that I think about it, my email box is full of folks telling me how your humor is dead on and that you are such a sharp wit.
Now that you mention it; maybe I shouldn't feel so free to express myself. after all there will always be some one to come along and tell me I'm wrong. then I might start reacting and telling them to fuck off and look like a jerk in public.
The difference between me and you JK is when I share something I've thought or felt, people care and express their concern.
When you say something, mostly folks just stand there and think, "oh my god, what an ass."
So who's fucking themselves now funny man?
Who's thinking twice about what they chose to say?

Knowmad... awesome that you're taking steps and moving towards being the person you want to be. Reminds me of a story I read to my son some years ago, about crabs hanging out in some rocks. One of the crabs doesn't fit in, so he bails on the rocks and goes into the big open ocean. He comes back HUGE, because he needed to be in a bigger tank to grow. I don't envy you. It's a hard road with a lot of thoughtless adversaries.
I don't talk about my own sexuality much, because of societal hangups, and misunderstandings. We've never met in person, but it takes courage to do what you're doing, and I hold you in high esteem.

This here's a one room school house that we are in and we are not all at the same grade level or even taking the same classes. So sometimes that means we have to backpedal or apologize to each other and explain ourselves a little. Doen't hurt and it keeps the playground fun.
And Tamarakay, you go right on worrying about such things. No-one likes to see their freinds have an accident and the start throwing rocks at each other.

Not dissing on anyone. Just that sometimes, especially with jokes, from another ones point of view, the punchline isn't always the first thing in view. Or the seventh, or tenth. And when hurt or pain sets in, it can be very difficult to lean out a little and see what is further down the line.

I consider it my responsibility to apologize when I've injured someone. Especially when it's accidental. Those I am angry at might get a pro-forma one, or wait some time until it can be a sincere one.Box Burner wrote:Not dissing on anyone. For what it's worth, there have been huge changes in the queer community over the past forty years, and someone who went through the seventies might have ... fuck, I do not know how to put this. It was bad enough in the seventies that a somewhat narrow attitude might have developed in those who lived through it. It could be something that has a continuing negative effect.

I think you were just confused as my comment wasn't directed at you, it was intended for the person who quoted you in response to my response to his response. And to make it even more confusing, "he"now prefers to be addressed as "she", or so I've heard. So the other night, there were four women making me "airtight'. This means every orifice, except my nose, of my body had something inserted in it. I'll save you the details since this is a public forum, but I had a full bladder and desperately needed to relieve myself.
You who have seen or used my horizontal cross can probably picture me supine with my legs in the holders and tied down at all points.
One of the items used is an EXTREMELY POWERFUL vibrator. This unit mmmaaakkkesss yyyooouuu tttaaalkkk llliiikkke thththiiisss just holding it in your hands. Being unable to communicate effectively, it took awhile to get my point across and, the bottom line to this is, I was very uncomfortable during what would otherwise be an extremely pleasant experience.
