Playa Tom has died.

Post by phil » Fri Nov 30, 2012 5:02 pm

Here's the announcement posted on another list:
My name is Katharine Richardson, and I am the sister of Tom Brewer, Burning Man enthusiast and volunteer. I am sorry to say that Tom passed away recently.

A service of remembrance will be next Thursday, December 6 at 2 p.m., at Walton's Mortuary in Susanville (530.257.4414).

Tom's family would love to meet some of his large cadre of friends. We hope to post an obituary and other information in the next few days.

Thanks Phil. I saw that, but without the pic, I wasn't sure which Playa Tom it was. I think there are (were) 2.

He posted here for a while, seems around 09 or so?
What a great guy!

dang dang dang ......

Tom was a Hushvillian. he stopped for awhile one day, and i had so much fun talking to him.... he was a great big guy in a pink tutu, and gave me a big hug when he left. i can't believe he won't be coming back in a form i can hug again ..... but i'm sure he'll be there in spirit.

RIP, big guy ..... we love you ......

I don't think I got to meet him, but he looks like a sweetheart with that big smile and big petticoat.

My sympathies to all who knew & loved him.

I can only remember him joking and grinning.

Wasn't he the guy conspiring with me to pretend to install generators in Hushville?

He was hard to miss.
And will be.

I'm even more honored that he let me wear his pink petticoat for Tutu Tuesday this year. I will miss him, particularly in Hushville.
