“ Kimberly Guilfoyle, a top fundraising official for the Trump campaign and the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr., tested positive for COVID-19, a person familiar with the matter confirmed to The Hill on Friday.

Attendees at both events flouted social distancing recommendations and largely did not wear masks, both of which are recommended by federal health officials to slow the spread of the virus. Trump has personally eschewed wearing a mask in public, even as GOP leaders urge him to do so.

Guilfoyle is the latest individual in proximity to the president to test positive for the virus. One of the president's military valets tested positive in March, as did the vice president's press secretary.”

To see if cannabis could help prevent that problem, researchers focused on the anti-inflammatory effects of THC. The team provided the drug to mice with ARDS to see if it could help stop inflammation in the lungs.

Results showed that 100 percent of cases or all animal subjects were able to avoid lethal symptoms after taking THC. The drug helped prevent severe damage in the lungs by blocking pro-inflammatory cytokines and slowing down any inflammation.

The Supreme Court is set to unveil its decision on Thursday about whether Congress gets to see President Donald Trump’s tax returns and financial records, a ruling that could reshape the balance of power between lawmakers and the White House in the most dramatic way since Watergate.

The court’s final opinion day of its 2019-20 term also includes a related dispute about whether New York prosecutors can similarly access Trump’s financial records, held by his accounting firm and banks.

Andres Guardado is the cousin of a burner friend. I guess that's 2 degrees of separation.

Coroner: Andres Guardado was shot 5 times in the back. Sheriff condemns disclosure.
https://www.latimes.com/california/stor ... er-autopsy

The official autopsy was conducted June 22. Today is July 10. The sheriff commanding the officers who shot has withheld the autopsy on "security hold." After the independent family autopsy was released, the LA coroner overrode the sheriff and released the original autopsy.

Our burner network surely has many more wrongly perished in close degree.

... the LA coroner overrode the sheriff and released the original autopsy. ...
  • the manner of death was certified as homicide, the coroner’s office said.
  • Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas commended the coroner’s disclosure in a statement Friday and called it “deeply troubling” that the Office of Inspector General, which provides oversight of the Sheriff’s Department, has still not received documents related to the investigation.
  • “I commend the coroner for upholding the autonomy and integrity of his office by releasing the autopsy report of Andres Guardado, despite attempts to block its release,”
  • [the sheriff] also criticized Ridley-Thomas for praising the coroner’s move.

Washington Redskins announce: "We are announcing we will be retiring the Redskins name and logo ...".
It took advertisers dropping them and sellers dropping their merch to finally get them to move on this.
Some twits on twitter didn't like this:
  • I felt having the redskin name and logo in the NFL was a tribute/ honor to the native Indians.
    honoring....jpg
  • How about the Washington No Balls. Caving to this cancel culture... I’m no longer a fan, of the Redskins or the NFL. I’m out
  • And I'm done with whatever this abomination of a Football Team cones up with. My beloved Redskins have been ripped from me by this PC culture
  • I’ve been a fan for over 40 years and this is the last straw. I was just getting over the kneeling fiasco and then ownership drops this shocking act of cowardice on the fan base.

At the end of his show, Carlson announced that he was heading on a "long-planned" vacation to do some "trout fishing." While it may be true, it's worth noting that there is a long tradition of Fox News anchors going on supposedly pre-planned vacations when they spark controversy. Think Bill O'Reilly (whose vacation was, it turned out, actually pre-planned, even if he didn't return from it), Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, and even Carlson himself in the past...

"If you're in the Oval Office today, what would you say to him?" ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos asked her in an exclusive interview.

"Resign," Mary Trump responded.

"We currently have 85 babies under the age of one year in Nueces County that have all tested positive for Covid-19," said Annette Rodriguez, director of public health for Corpus Christi Nueces County.
"These babies have not even had their first birthday yet.”

Documents newly reviewed reveal that a shipment of 2,750 metric tons of ammonium nitrate arrived in Beirut on a Russian-owned vessel in 2013. The ship, named the MV Rhosus, was destined for Mozambique -- but stopped in Beirut due to financial difficulties that also created unrest with the ship's Russian and Ukrainian crew.
Once it arrived, the ship never left Beirut's port, according Lebanon's Director of Customs, Badri Daher, despite repeated warnings by him and others that the cargo was the equivalent of "a floating bomb."
